Default Installing a 6 spd in a SRT

I know the SRT doesn't come with a manual trans. Have you heard of anyone trying to install one? Doesn't the Mercedes (that makes the engine and trans.) offer a 6 speed in their line of cars?

Is the reason the 6 speed isn't offered in the SRT because of too much HP?

It is super easy to install the transmission swap, by asking the question that shows me that you are very knowledgeable about these things.

here is the parts list:
1 6spd transmission
1 cup of flour
2 teaspoons of sugar

bake at 400 degrees for 1 hour

enjoy!

Chrysler/Mercedes did not include a 6spd as an option just to **** you off. Looks like they did a great job!! While you are doing the transmission swap why not do a honda vtakkkkk swap on your motor? I bet a vtakkkk k series motor would do wonders for your srt6!

My response was sarcastic because this is not the first time you have asked this silly question. Was the first thread you created not enough?

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=27816

Looks like you received plenty of answers in that one, why create another? This makes 2 out of your 3 total posts on the site asking the same exact question.

Tough job. Too many things are integrated into the powertrain control module that are looking for input from the transmission control module that have to do with how the engine management system works.
I've seen this question before. Try a SEARCH to see what has already been covered.

The SRT does come with a 6 speed manual transmission...................it's available in the Ram or the Viper. No swapping is necessary.

The SRT6 does have a 6 speed trans
5 gears for going forward and 1 gear for going in reverse

5+1= 6

There ya have it .... a 6 speed

New math would be;

5 (forward) + (-1) (reverse) = 4

Now we have a 4 speed! I hate when that happens!
