Default First race last night - Now I need some mods

LOL

Usually when someone wants to upgrade the car after some racing, you know what that means

Anyways, buddies car putting down about 360/400 to the wheels had no problem walking from me. It was expected, but damn it, now I want to "get even" LOL.

Time to start counting pennies I guess.

My buddy was riding shotgun in the Crossfire, while our other 2 buddies were driving his car.
LOL.

I think he gets a kick out of sitting in the slower car watching someone else drive his

Naa, it was the first time he was in my car. Im trying to convince him to get one

Its a built small block chev that is putting down 360hp to the wheels and flat torque "curve" of 400.

There is no reason my car should beat his.

Now I need some goodies!

Well, first off was your top up or down? If it was down that'll drop the car's performance 2-3 tenths. The roadster runs a little slower than the coupe just because of the rag top causing more drag than smooth metal, about another 2 tenths (compared to another SRT-6).

I'd look first @ getting an intake on the car. Then maybe a 178 or 181mm pulley and Inmotion tune (really cause it's $300 cheaper than a LET tune and hte results are about same). Sooo, it'll be around $1,800 for all of it.

Top was up, was a chilly night in Minnesota

Tomorrow the new tires are going on the car, then I plan on making my own intake for the first setp.
( I still laugh at this first pic)

Just put my car away for storage. Maybe your buddy would like to meet my Roadster. I will take back the respect you lost, and give it back to ya! Also from Minn...

Those Malibus make great "sleepers".
Fairly light and several good motors bolt right in.

They are known to be the "Chevy II" of the late 70s early 80s

They just lack "style" but hey that is what makes them sneeky.

oh, I know about these old malibus, but I also know what these little roadsters are capable of, and I think you had better check your roadster for IC pump failure, 'cause there isn't anyway in the world he should have pulled away from you short of him having one hell of a hole shot w/ 4.11 or 4.56 gears, I still say you would take out of the hole...mid 12's are mid 12's, but that's ok, 'cause as was said, this is where the sickness begins...and you are a new owner...so check out the times of other srt's on here...and their to the wheels hp...good luck, but don't continue to let us down like that....SRT6-Man...don't put her away yet....we need a kill here....

Don't do it, not worth the embarrassment of getting whooped again. Just fork out the money now and save the money wasted on doing your own. All the what if's are done for you. www.needswings.com cold air intake. Start with that and a custom tune, until LET can tune a car faster than MDsrt6 then InMotion is the only tune. With a custom tune of $500 you can send back for free as you add mods such as a 178 pulley, and mani's when you are serious about putting your buddies car to shame. Look at my sig, it's can't get any easier than that.
