Kooks Racing Custom Exhaust
Custom cat back exhaust with 304 Stainless, 2.5" ID dual pipes straight back into high flow mufflers. If somebody tells me how to load a sound clip I will. The system is pretty loud when going full bore. There is some drone inside the car, but the decision was to go all performance with as straight a run as possible, without having to mess with the shield around the fuel pump. My wife and son and everyone else who hears it says it sounds awesome. I think the drone is a little too much, but Kooks said after about 250 miles it will become less as the mufflers get heated a few times
It came out nice. I like how both pipes go around the left side of the diff, and it doesnt look like much clearance was sacrificed to do so. One of those welds in the last pic looks really bulky and im not sure its stainless, maybe their was a large gap in between the 2 pipes.
A few questions:
Wheres the x-pipe?
How much lighter was this system than stock?
What tips did you use?
Do those 2 bolt flanges have a taperfit flange inside to reduce chance of a leak?
Price?
Are you gonna get dyno results?
Sorry for all the questions but you know i had an exhaust very similar to this so im interested as to your results.

Nice and clean - best aftermarket tips I've seen on an exhaust - you won't regret installing SS

A few questions:
Wheres the x-pipe? Kooks felt there would be no hp/tq gain to be had.
How much lighter was this system than stock?Didn't weigh it but at least 20 lbs
What tips did you use? Ones I found on ebay almost exact size but .5" wider
Do those 2 bolt flanges have a taperfit flange inside to reduce chance of a leak? Yes they slide together first then bolt.
Price? $700 plus my tips which were $64
Are you gonna get dyno results? Yes after I finish the manifolds, then Dyno for A/F ratio to tune.

And that exhaust is beautiful.
it looks really nice but no thanks to the drone, i have dealt with it before and it makes the car no fun to drive. a few hp gain is not worth it considering all the misery it causes and the unnoticable performance gain.
