installed gauges and piller pod
well it started out today i just put my afr guage in the trunk just in case i could get it installed, i went to DT perforamce in Ft. Lauderdale, to maybe if we have time to move my boost guage to the dash, well they weren't that busy so we started to install the afr gauge then i went and looked at 4 different gauge pods and none fit the crossfire ,, i the owner said , go ahead build one for your car,, i found the one that kinda fit at least on one end,, got out the heat gun and started reforming the darn thing i found a off set square box that almost matched the shape of the crossfire piller post, well i cut heated reformed pushed pulled and made the thing fit,, then I painted both my stock ones black as the gauge i used was black, by now we have the boost and the afr ready to install into the gauge pod,, total cost bung,, pod, labor welding and about rwo hours of labor= $60.00,, oh during that time we stoped and put chrome 20"s ,a intake and tuned it with a Diablo on a new challenger , here is the way the crossfire turned out.

I like your gauges very much. The install came out pretty decent. Good match with the black. I like mine better, but I paid more than you did too.... congrats...

when ever u r ready,, the gauges themselves cost about 400.00 but removed mine from my PT)so that part was already paid for,,, we can go there any time you want and see what we can do, if you like it we will make it,, if not we go to the track anyway. jim
James, the gauge is reading the inlet air temp as measured ON THE SHELL OF THE MANIFOLD. It is so high as the car just did some er runs, yeah thats it Runs. The motor was off and the temp is that of the manifold shell ; parked and heat soaked while I took my time doing photos.

Those look to be the regular push "rivet" type pins that you are using to hold the pod in place. How is that working out for ya? Hold pretty well?
Looks cleaner than using a wood screw (Woody, Woody, Woody, what are we gonna do with you! lol
).

Woody, I don't own an SRT so I am not exactly sure of the air intake flow. I am guessing you are measuring air temp before the SC and cooler?
Thanks for the reply. James

Its cold and I have not stopped working, like you know heating issues............. I used the first screw that fit, CROME is on the horizion. Free time is spent of one big black project, and then there is the hood redesign program and the re designing the pulley and belt project that Iam doing for Rob and THEn there is the chrome screw.......Phillips I think though the forum would like a allen head stainless head allen cap screw with predrilled safety wire tie holes......with a tasteful cover cap........
JEEEESsss
and the crowd started to really turn ugly.
Weary Woody
BTW Tighed did you notice that I spent the effort to cut in half the boost gauge to dim the green leds, except the 0 and -20" ones? That is the level of detail I worry about, I have noticed that above 18PSI boost I have a really hard time seeing the screw anyway.
