You got it. I predict you guys will be 185+ and get some more speedvision coverage. I've never had the car over 120+ anywhere but the track, and that's a rush. The car pulls so hard over 100 mph, I can only imagine pulling all the way for a mile.

 

Thanks the irony of that run is that is my all time favorite car to own. I told my wife on the way home that I'm still buying one of those one day. I'm just so pleased with the 6 that it may be a classic by the time I move on.

the last time i checked a 12.7 IS faster than a 12.8. I would try to explain yet again but something so simple is just beyond your understanding. Sure, trapping higher does mean that car has more potential to be faster but until it runs a faster time it is not faster.

Nope. A 12.7 means you won the race. That doesn't mean the CAR is faster.

Again, I fail to see how that makes me a ricer. I'm not making excuses for winning and losing, because winning and losing is NEVER based on the car itself, it's on the driver. There is no gray area. It's whoever passes the finish line first (not what's printed on the time slip).

If what was printed in Motor Trend as the 1/4 mile times for cars meant anything, nobody would ever go to the track.

I never got into the "fast/quick" deal. I'm just saying whoever reaches the finish line first is the winner. That's completely different than the question "which car is faster". I'm arguing that's a question that is only answered by removing the driver from the equation.

One things for sure, I'd say a car trapping 133 in the 1/4 mile is definitely faster than a car trapping 112. I don't even need to look at the 1/4 mile time.

Cruzin gave the perfect example. He crushes faster cars all day by near perfect reaction times and a killer 60ft. That's 99% driving skill. He can cut an 11.85 in his car. If I drove it, I'd probably get a 12.5. That has nothing to do with the car. It's the driver. It isn't "less fast" from one run to the next.

1) You've obviously never been to the track. The time doesn't start until your car moves. That's what gauges your "reaction time" (its shows up on the time slip, if you ever see one, look for it). So it's absolutely possible to cross the finish line before your opponent and have a slower time slip.

Because you crossed the finish line first. I don't know how to say it more clear. That's a FACT. I know you've tried to say otherwise, but you're 100% wrong.

Read Cruzin's post. He beat an SRT-8 Cherokee that went 11.5 to his high 11. He beat him with a nasty reaction time (tell me what his reaction time has to do with the car).

So in that case, yes a high 11 beat a mid 11.

2) What makes you think I'm stock? Since when do stock SRT-6's trap 111 mph? Do you even own one of these cars?

3) The person who WINS crosses the finish line first. YOU'RE the one saying otherwise by arguing that your slip SAYS you went faster (an excuse for having a shitty reaction time).

4) I once again COMPLETELY agree with Cruzinquick. If I beat a car that trapped 133 MPH, I'd never claim I had a faster car. EVER. There is no way in hell an SRT-6 can achieve 133mph in 1320ft.

It takes a FASTER car to achieve 133mph in 1320ft.
