I have a person saying that a dodge caliber srt4 with nitrous will walk down a stock srt6. I have no knowledge on the caliber and wanting to know if this acutaly can happen. Can that baby 4 cylinder even handle nitrous?

 

Can it happen? Absolutely. How much of a shot is he running?

 

Not sure what kind of shot it is. Im a little bit ashamed of my baby sitting out side now. Thats ok though it will get better. But what size shot would the srt4 need to be able to walk down the 6

 

I am not sure I have ever seen any brake caliper with nitrous let alone a dodge brake caliper.

As for a Dodge Caliber, they are not the fastest thing on the road. I would say if your srt6 was stock it would be close. if you had an intake and pulley then no i doubt it.

Who cares though, just go race him. If you win you win, if you lose you lose. It really is not a big deal, it is not like it will end the world as we know it if a race is lost. Racing is about having fun, I never did understand why people make who will win race threads and worry about if they will lose a race or not, lol.

What are his times at the dragstrip and what are your times at the dragstrip? Who ever has the fastest time will win, it is pretty simple to figure out.


Edit: Forgot to mention, dodge calibers are so hideous it is not even funny. I can not believe anyone bought one of those warts let alone modded it lol.

 

To make it really interesting... ask him to race and loser loses his car

Its some kid over the internet I dont think he even has a srt he just likes to talk alot of crap. Im going to have to find one now so I can race it. Im really curious in the turn out of that kind of race.

 

Its because of my youtube video where I smoked the SRT4 twice with my limited on nitrous. The SRT4 dudes are getting vicious there protecting their ride. I has to erase two nasty coments already. They're saying that our cars are high priced POS. And that our times are sad for how much we paid...

Race and find out. Most run in the 14's so I doubt it would be a big deal unless he has some major mods.

 

with just a shot of nitrous from a dead stop you would probably take it.One of the fastest calibers out is running mid 11's with some pretty good mods

but they if set up they can run in the low 12.' and high 11's different motor and cpu than the srt and pt you can't do as much to them<<<(YET)>>> there is one in south fl that runs in the 12's but he just moved to Orlando. don't forget i with nos and a few mods ran 12.90"s in a 3400lb PTCruiser the caliber srt-4's are only 3190lbs and they start out with 285 hp ,,the pt 220 hp,, the srt-4 neon 230hp . good luck i think you will win in a 1/4 mile race. jim

 

It would not be too smart to race anyone, putting comments like that on line, your license plate and your city. Your plate is probably on the local police hot list right now. I would not even speed if I was you.

 

We arn't stupid all this racing is done at the track. Where it is 100% legal.

 

I am not saying you are, but the way it is written does not mention track, remove your license plate number. You are 18 in a Xfire, why go through any more hassles than normal, police troll sites like this sometimes. Just a hint from an old F**t.

 

Stock they are 14sec cars, compared to a stock 6 running 13sec ¼-mile. I don’t know how much spray is needed to over come a sec but I encountered one and it wasn’t even close. Then again I’m slightly mod’d .

What does he run at the track and what do you run at the track?

As I said in the first post:

 

Anything can happen. I've seen little beat up looking Honda Civics run high 10 second 1/4 miles and the car looked like it wasn't worth $50. Obviously a fair bit was spent on the engine to make it a 10 second car. I've seen a lifted diesel Suburban run a high 11 second pass. That was an amazing sight - it looked like a white school bus moving at warp speed - incredible.

So can a Caliber SRT4 on juice take down an SRT6? Sure, with the right shot. You can make anything fast pretty cheaply. But making it really fast AND really reliable can be tricky.

 

What really makes me sad as the owner of Both a 04 limited and an SRT-6 Crossfire is that I purchased my Crossfires at top dollar and while they were still charging for the honor of driving one of the worlds beautiful sports cars.
Since the bottom of the market fell out and all the people that have wouldn't know class if it bit them on the tucus have bought them and have the gawl to compare them to cars such as the "tin can Dodge Caliber".
It is so sad to see the car ONLY compared in quarter mile times against hondas and the likes. This car was intended to compete with Porches and the likes, NOT RICE BURNING STREET RACERS!
Let the "Ricers" and the "Neon Ground Effects Lovers" grow up, if you have patience they in time will catch up to your Crossfires.

Eh, maybe a touch of paranoia here, but still...you have a point. Posting your tags is probably not wise regardless (thats why I block mine out in any online pics). Still, on this board when we are talking about racing, unless specifically saying it was light to light (which, lets face it, happens), it can be safely assumed that the race will take place or already took place at a track.
