srt4 walk down srt6. possible?
Naw, you got it all wrongways. I decided not to race. Too risky. The time wasn't right. The sun was in my eyes. Besides, I'm deaf in one ear and I didn't hear you toot the horn. 2 cars! If that was two cars they were Smart cars. Only two Smarts and I wasn't giving it more than 1/2 throttle. I refuse to race through Mr. Roberts neighborhood. Dang, I knew I shoulda raced ya full anyway. Now you may call me MRLooserman.
I'll race you again while your changing your wheels!

I will say this was an VERY entertaining thread... Go MrPhotoman!
Opinion #1. The Caliber SRT4 stock vs. a Crossfire SRT6 stock in a ¼ mile race = SRT6 win if both drivers are equal an reaction times are nearly the same.
Opinion #2. The Caliber SRT4 with a NOS shot (regardless of size) vs. a Crossfire SRT6 with a proportional NOS shot in a ¼ mile race = SRT6 win if both drivers are equal an reaction times are nearly the same.
FACT #1. In EVERY official race on the planet, when the first racer (in/on vehicle or on foot) crosses that finish line, they have made the fastest run of that race over whatever distance is specified. PERIOD
This does not mean they were the fastest or had the fastest vehicle. It DOES prove that they, for that particular race were the fastest competitor over the distance specified. PERIOD
The example with the bicycle and the Corvette still sticks in my mind...
Yes, in this race the bicycle WAS faster at completing the ¼ mile. The 'Vett' simply has the potential to be faster. But, because he stalled, he was NOT faster for that particular ¼ mile run.
All vehicles that run races have 'potential', however, only the actual performance for that particular race will show a winner or loser. If one competitor feels that something went wrong, then both should get back in the gates and do it again without changing anything else. That way, if the 'Vette' stalled, then he has the chance to run the race again and PROVE he's faster by completing the ¼ mile in less time than the bicycle.
Keep up the good work MrPhotoman... maybe someday people will learn...

A friend of mine on a bike raced a turbo Vette in the ¼ mile. The bike ran a 45 @ 20mph. The turbo Vette stalled off the line (triggering the clock). By the time he got it started he got down the track and ran a 46 @ 145mph.

That video made my day... lol
Lol this thread was all in fun, hopefully everyone knows that. Debating about cars, racing and mods is what it is all about, even when it is a silly thread like this lol.
Seriously though, if you go to the track and try to argue the proof that is on the timeslip and say that you won when you really lost you are going to get laughed off the track. Even if your vtak didn't kick in, the timeslip is final say in who won the race and who had the faster car.

You talkin to me! You talkin to ME! All I got to say is if you had my Smarts you would've won easily but unfortunately for you I had the Smarts. And my Smarts are high Caliber too!
Of course its all in fun. Why would anyone think otherwise?

I'm so lost...everybody is talking about the same damn thing, but spinning it a different way (I guess to be funny...?). This must just be how "older gentlemen" have fun (with each other)....
I apparently need to learn something, I'm a ricer, and I make excuses for my car? Look...now I'm all butt-hurt....
. Jerks...

Anyone who actually looked at the slip burst into laughter as the bike rider said, "I'm mrphotoman, and my bike is faster than a turbo vette that traps 140+mph....b....because this slip says so!"
Let me say it again: Mrphotoman isn't saying that the bike won the race. He's saying that the bike is, in fact, a faster vehicle by only focusing on the 1/4 mile time, which is completely insane and hilarious.

You see, there are no variables in Mrphotoman's world.
If your car runs a 12.5, then follows it up with a 14.0 and a 2.7 60 ft, it's not that you botched the launch. Magical gnomes actually went into engine bay and stole HP from the motor.
Because to botch a launch, and make a human mistake, is meerly a ricer excuse. Even when it is plainly evident on the time slip (though mrphotoman would lead you to believe there are only 1/4 mile times listed, there is actually more information).

It's funny, I can actually picture mrphotoman at the track running his best pass, the COMPLETELY giving up racing for fear that his car may "become slower" on the next pass.
SO then he just stands at the end of the track with his slip and yells "I BEAT YOU!" if he sees a car run slower.
