Code3 Supercharger Pulley for sale
Hey Guys,
I know this is my first post in this forum, but I'm more of a regular on MBworld. I just started reading up on this forum more often as it seems people here are much more experimental and willing to test things out. Anyways, in case anyone is interested:
I finally got my LET 185mm Pulley and will be installing it next week. I will be re-installing my stock supercharger pulley and removing my Code3 Supercharger Pulley.
I got it about June last year and and has maybe 10K miles on it. Nothing wrong with it at all, never had any problems with it and it was great fun over stock. However, I got the more power bug and decided to go with a LET 185 for maximum boost.
This is the 2nd generation pulley that was improved over the original, but NOT the new lightweight aluminum one.
It was professionally installed and will be professionally removed.

This is from Code3's Website:
PERFORMANCE SUPERCHARGER PULLEY
- 10-15 minute install
- no new belt needed
- no additional pulleys needed
- no ECU tuning needed
- operates EXACTLY like your stock pulley
- pulley comes with new bearing and snap ring pre-installed, plus extra spacers
- Makes the same power as a 178mm crank pulley. Bolt on our new Performance Intake for even more power!
+21rwhp/27rwtq Peak ~ +25.6rwhp/30.4rwtq Curve
http://shop.code3performance.com/pro...=3&productId=4
BTW, these are currently on BACKORDER at Code3, so it's not easy to get them right now. Taking offers, but would like at least $450. This will include shipping to anywhere in the lower 48 states.

P.S.
Thanks for all the info here! Hopefully I can add something useful someday as well.

I just want MORE power.
I think if you want a more conservative power option, this is the way to go. When I first decided to buy it, it was because it did NOT overdrive the accessories, thus keeping the car more reliable and was very easy to install/remove in case I ever had any smog issues.
Yeah I was waiting to get that one but with all thes people ditchin them I'm a little concerned. Someoone shot a pm and said they have had some issues. A senior forum member here.
It's just because the 185 is known to give more power. Some of the fastest SRT's are running a ASP 178mm, LET 181mm or C3 Pulley, not a 185. No one's posted times for a 185mm yet but I don't think it matters all that much between the 4 pulleys
A C32 might need the 185 to run faster since they're heavier.

I have had zero issues and love the Code3. Did they say what performance gain (if any) is the lighter weight pulley over the original?

mmm... pm me...since that's the way I got the news...maybe I shouldn't dump on them in public. I've been here since Jan 06 but don't have enough posts to be a senior member. But I'm well read. The senior member who me the pm'd me is very knowledgeable and has 3 times the post I do....

Please post the issues (without giving the source) as I am currently looking to buy a used code3 off another member. I think it may be one of the first ones. How would I tell and what is the problem with them?
Thanks

And then here's a belt that shredded, see post #514.

And the first response and 2nd generation iteration:

Here is what was sent to me by a senior member.....
Honestly, I personally do not have a lot of faith in the SC pulley by Code3. I have seen a couple of them installed at Woodward, and the fit was off, one of them had to be replaced due to rubbing, etc.
In my case, I felt that a crank pulley would be more reliable. The ASP pulley set has been around for a long time. Many MB C32 and SLK32 guys have 50k+ miles with them without issue.
I was reluctant about the LET pulleys due to the quality issues they had with the 181 and 185.
For me, the safest bet was to do the ASP set, or Renntech (overpriced in my opinion).
I think if you do the NeedsWings intake, you will see a great improvement. A pulley, whichever one you choose, will take that air intake mod and run with it. The change is fantastic.

lmao, that is just a biased opinion.
if you read up on the forums you will see a hell of a lot less issues with the code3 than the crank pulleys.

Let me see the data you have comparing the Code 3 and LET pullies as far as problems.
Still it seems more than a few people are selling the code 3 pulleys. Most say because they want the LET or ASP crank pulley. Could it be they really just to get the new lightweight ( 11 oz less) Code 3 pulley???hmmmmm.......I think that could be it. Of course the Code 3 guys here have a biased opinion ...LMAO even more at you clowns.........talk about the pot calling the kettle black....
I have one of the first gen Code 3 Pulleys with the "aggressive cuts" and after 8,000 miles and MANY 1/4 mile passes I have not had a single problem nor see any belt wear. Most issues were install error and if put on correctly, you should have no issues. I believe the proof to the performance of these pulleys is in Mr. Photoman's and my time slips. We both have very few mods compared to most on this forum and are running just as quick as more heavily modified cars and our times are on STREET TIRES.
Great Product!

the 178mm pulley set and the code3 set seem to be the most trouble free. some people on here are ignorant though and like to bash some of the few options for these cars just because they are narrow minded I suppose lol.
It is a shame this guys for sale thread was ruined.
This is a good option, do a few searches or scroll through the srt6 section and decide for yourself on which way to go.
