Back to the 370...

Gotta be honest.... it has decent looks, it performs well, and the road test numbers make it very close to the SRT6's acceleration. But - there will be dozens on the road soon enough

I haven't had a chance to test drive it, but I did sit in one at the auto show.

It's a fairly small car on the inside, much like the original 350z, (even relative to the XF.)

I don't think it's particularly good looking, but it makes great numbers.

I like the new look better than the 350z. I think it's an attractive and powerful upgrade. So many cars, so little money! LOL

I dont have an SRT and i think they are awesome cars, i had a friend with a 350z did a S/C kit with full exhaust and put down 405RWHP. i was way impressed. (since the s/c kit and exhaust ran him only $4000 on craigs list and we did the install ourselves)

I found myself just saying "well, i see them everywhere"

To which he replied, "going this fast?"

I had no response.

It did end up falling apart on him,

I was happy until he picked up a 2008 BMW 335i

Damn HIM!!!!

I told him that my two cars are still cooler,

Well, the boomerang lights aren't my fav feature, that's for sure. But I do really like the lines of the car, especially from the side. Its reminiscent of the old Z's but not so much as to look dated.

Correct. TONS of this car's looks throw back to the old Z days. I think it's a great looking car.

I've had Vetts, srt-s and all kinds of cars. But I still think my worked 1986 turbo GLH was the fastest ( and scariest) car i've ever driven.

Man i wish i never sold that car!

Just for the sake of correctness... You guys have been stating the SRT-6 has a 3.5 liter engine when
it is actually a 3.2 Liter. Unless I've been totally misreading and you were referring to the size of the
motor in the 350z.

I fat fingered a 5 instead of a 2. Then everyone started quoting me. I think we all know it's a 3.2. Just a typo.

thought I'd weigh in on the handling.
Love my six(if the pulley ever gets working right-see"supercharger woes" thread), but the handling really is far from a match to the performance.
Well, that's not quite right. I actually think it HANDLES fine...reasonably planted, no roll, but the steering is just dead, and has way too much play. It's hard to sense the road.
In my Smart Roadster(my avatar), I know exactly what the car is doing at all times, but not so much in the 6. That may be unfair though, as the Roadie is generally regarded as one of the best handling cars out there!
Even my last car, an 08 Alfa Spider, which was basically a boat, had more response in the steering, though that is what it was known for...it's one good point if you will.

i'd looked at an 370z the other day and i must say looking at it close up it look like a small mini van in a way also regardless if you drive a 370z, my 350z roaster or srt6 (which is an ugly car at all angle) we all know these cars are still a poor mans corvette etc, my girlfriend (a doctor) has one and a M3 (sweet) and she laughs at my car (350z) and the xfs, she says buy a real car but i just like the way the base xf looks.
