Default Need help here...nothing serious

hey everyone, i just joined this forum last week and i just cant get away from my computer. all this information is mind blowing. i've had my srt6 for 6 months and enjoyed the power now i have upgraded to a Black Teflon Needswings CAI and now i dont know what to do..
it seems to me that the Code 3 is the best idea compared to the crank pulley (dont get upset crank pullers). it just seems safe to me..but i know that in a few months after i choose my "crank or code 3" i will be getting a tune. I also hear about af gauges and johnson pumps, etc " all the small gadgets" i am clueless what to do after the CAI.. i know this is wide open discussion but i have a lot of info in my head and need help organizing it..please help me thanks.

johnson pump. your stock one will fail.

then do an InMotion tune. worth EVERY PENNY! it is a difference you will really feel, just like the NeedsWings CAI.

i am currently the only member(i know of) who will be running just about every possible bolt-on EXCEPT for a pulley upgrade. stay tuned.

(PM me if you have questions)

P.S. i HIGHLY endorse anything NeedsWings sells. not only are they great products, but they also have great tech support as well.

Hey that's my job. LOL. I would wait and see what jfire's results are. Seriously the intake and tune will put you under 12.5's easy. Even in my crappy weather. That may be all you will need. You must understand that a low 12 sec car is useless power on the street from a launch without drag radials. So unless you have a hardon like us for the track, you will be fine unpullied. All that power and no tires resembles the mustang cobra's trying to street race and burning threw 2 gears in 10'. Now if you want all that power from a roll, then you open a new can of worms, but does have whoopa$$ in it too.

It all depends on what you want out of the car.

Hardcore autocross and road race folks upgrade the suspension and brakes before anything else.

Hardcore 1/4 mile racers upgrade pulley's, intakes, manifolds, ECU's, exhausts, and anything else they can squeak a horsepower out of.

If you're not into official racing, then it depends on what you want. Like Cruizin says above, a cold air intake, a pulley and a tune are VERY adequate for lighting up the tires on the street. Mods after that get more expensive and add enough power that it will become a challenge to keep those tires from spinning.

I wouldn't bother replacing the pump until you need to, unless you're taking the front fascia off to do something else anyway. Then go ahead with the pump and save yourself the trouble of taking it off again later.

I also wouldn't worry about an AFR sensor/gage and datalogger unless you plan to add more mods than just CAI/pulley/tune.

For the tune, I would suggest renting some time at a dyno and coordinating with your tuner so you can do a before and after dyno. This will let the tuner adjust your tune to be just right. Even with the added expense of the dyno, it will still be cheaper than the AFR sensor, gage, and datalogger.

The NeedsWings super cooler (heat exchanger upgrade) is a good mod for our cars, whether you're a racer or not. The heat buildup in these cars is serious and saps your horsepower. The super cooler will keep your supercharger cooler and help you keep those horsies.
