If possible, do a before and after dyno (using the same shop) and post your results.

Good luck!!

I didn't realize the dual NW intakes were in production. Wonder what the dual puts down compared to the single?

seeing as how it merges back into one 3" pipe again I do not see how it could gain anything but who knows. i would need to see a before and after dyno first. i guess you could test it by running the car on the dyno with no intake, then with a NW single intake then with a NW dual intake and compare the results. You would need multiple runs with each setup though on the same day to account for heat soak etc.

I'm more curious about placement. I know the single goes through he front where the old one fit in to...but the drivers side of that is nowhere near the same...much smaller. seems like it would need some significant modifications to fit in there...or a different placement.

The driver side passage is a little smaller - - but there's still plenty of room.

Very nice. Can't wait to see it installed. If I could be so bold, what was the approximate damage?

I designed the dual with 3" hose fitinto the space on the driver side, Rob revised it to be 2 3/4" and it fits better.

On the same dyno I ran the dual with a baggy over the second filter and then tested it with the pair of filters running in parallel. I got 1 PSIG more boost, and 35 hp on the bottom end, below 2500 rpm. at the top I got 7 hp overall but the bottom end really carries the car faster off the line and it makes a big difference. The restriction in a single filter and 3" pipe was 30" of water at WOT or the 1 psig.

I had posted the dyno charts and will try to get the photos inserted below. It really runs stronger, but there will be several others soon enough to sing that song.

What tickles me is that Rob after I disclosed the next modification which Iam making now; has agreed that it is going to actually increase the motors breathing 40% over what he is running on his car today. Ill dyno that and the Eurocharged 185 very soon to show what each can produce. The 178 dyno was 347 rwhp for a baseline measurment. And no this is not another stellar battery project, that is reserved for April 1st.

BTW if you remove the plastic shield for the hood cable you have a bunch more room on the Driver side, FYI, W DY

I'm not sure exactly- it was basically my entire tax return. I'm on my 2nd year of my mortgage so I pay tons of interest! I know it was over 2k once everything was said and done. Rob is a class act and has been wonderful to deal with!

Christmas in May? No, what you have is a lifetime membership to the Playboy mansion! Or Disneyland depending on you age.

I've been trying to tell forum members the advantages of a 3" dual intake for some time. Glad you discovered it.

Now, just imagine if you had two huge, less restrictive air-filters and took advantage of ram-air the intake openings provide and your tubes weren't so darn hot.

If you enjoy the added HP at the bottom end now, wait tell you get that 185mm installed.... you'll get 10-15 more HP at the bottom and 20-25 more at the top.

Then a tune.

Enjoy....

Very nice cross hair. When are you getting your InMotion tune? You and Distant are going to set some records this spring.

Looks like the MB race day at MIR is going to be rescheduled again, you guys should try to make it.

Jfire your setup is killer as well. Can't wait for some more 11 second club members.
