Default Wow, $7,500

Brought my car in for an oil change and a rattle. $109 for the oil change, $7500 for the rattle. New supercharger. Thank goodness I bought an extended warranty. Anybody else have to replace their supercharger???

when you say rattle, how bad was it, a clunk or a click?
Was it still functioning?
I would have assumed that if they went it would be catastrophic.

She is stock as the day she was born. 29980 miles.

I first noticed it about 3 weeks ago, only when approaching a stop sign or speed bump. It steadily got worse over time and started getting louder and occuring more frequently. I figured it was a water pump or something like that.

Well at least I get a brand new supercharger out of my trouble.

Chrysler doesn't replace pulleys or bearings, they replace the whole unit.

When I saw the title of this thread, I assumed it was a dealership trade-in offer.....
