Cool Lack of power

Hello fellow SRT owners. This is my first posting on this site. I've been reading lots of great info and feedback about the SRT. I have owned mine for two years and I love it, however I'm experiencing a serious lack of power at times whenever I excelerate hard. The motor seems to be racing and the RPMs go up, almost as if the clutch is slipping. I have taken it in to the dealer. They replaced the transmission module but the problem still exist. They have never worked on a SRT and don't know what the hell they are doing. This is very frustrating. Can anyone help with this issue. Thanks in advance.

oh, almost forgot, take it to a mercedes dealership, they are much more helpful. i just call them and tell them i'm bringing in an SLK32 amg. when i arrive, they see it's an SRT-6, but the techs always know what the car really is aside from the body. much more helpful!

Hey! just to add a bit more conformation.. Had the same exact symptoms and did some research. Took it up to the dealer and said the intercooler coolant pump seemed to be out because of the lack of power and sluggish response. They fixed it this morning and boom! It was like the horspower doubled when i picked it up today... Hugeee difference...

You said the rpms went up, I wonder if the transmission is flaring due to low transmission fluid. If not then the I/C pump is old news for this issue. Woody

Fluid is an easy check.
