Wouldn't you actually be removing weight for the reduction of TIME?
If you want to have more speed try waxing your car it would do more for top end than the reduction of the weight from one less seat.
What if in the unliklyhood you were to ever score a date? Don't give up hope just cause it hasn't happened doesn't mean it can't.
Well it kinda does but one must remain possitive!

I may be going to a "HOT SWAP" setup before too long.
If I want to keep the SRT6 as a date ride - I'll need the factory seats - The racing events I want to run - (silver state classic & borr) all require a 5 point harness system.
Race - - Street - - Race - - Street???............

Power seats with track and motors shipping weight is 59# each. Take off a couples of pounds for cardboard and tape and you have roughly 57. It's hard to believe that the motors only weigh 7 pounds, but maybe that's all they weigh.

My buddy Vic always runs in the Silver State Classic in his built and supercharged 800rwhp C6 vert. with full ZO6 body conversion. Some day I might just enter it myself as it seems like a blast.

Does anybody know how much a "Base" Crossfires passenger seat weighs?
Cloth vs Faux Suede, no motor, no heating elements, removable head rests, hey it all adds up.
