It is a shame I did not catch you earlier. I am thinking of selling by stereo stuff (see my gallery) it would look SICK with those N20 bottles in the back of your car with my set up!!!

Any updates? I'm curious what this beast will do once its dialed in? also is there a rough guestimate what kind of gains the ported TB gives?

I finally convinced him to build the 3" single tube intake like i have, he completed his version last night when i went by the shop. He also has some purpose built tie down straps to reduce engine movement. We also deleted his EGR with my block off plates. He has some interesting exhaust ideas but i dont want to give those away just yet...

Yeah, I am not a big track, or dyno fan. Although I plan on doing the dyno for the dyno day in I believe April at Dynosaur.

The 135 shot is the best thing since free ****. lol It shifts usually at 6200 to 6400 rpm now. The new NW style intake lost a smidge of the midrange hit when you first smash the throttle, but doesnt seem any slower on the big end. I also have 4 tie straps holding the engine down. 2 on the lower, and now 2 on the upper! Purpose built, but OMG 40 or 45 mph now on bald tires, it HOOKS!! I use to slide and change lanes when I would do that. I am also guessing the CAI helped out a little by moving my power band a little. ( I had a 3.5" CAI all the way to the radiator, then necked down to a 3" behind the grille)

I am almost ready for the track, I just dont go unless I dont think I will be dissapointed. I have New 285-30-19 Nankang NSII on order, and should be here by the end of the week. I am also going to be selling my dual s/s custom exhaust I believe. I am building a single 3" aluminum system, to save about 20 pounds. I have also found a pair of seats I would like, it will save 50 pounds off the car. Our factory seats are 48 pounds each (fyi) My goal is to make 500whp, and the car to weigh in at 3000 pounds. Should be good for a mid 10 with true slicks, imo.

I have deleted my egr, and air pump. Saved about 6 pounds. New heat exchanger idea soon, plus a ton of supercharger mods Starting on those this week. I will post pics of the tie down straps if nobody gives me crap about it!! That is not why they are on there. Horsepower is nothing if you cant put it to the ground Put new plugs and plug wires also. The CAI is also heat wrapped.

Everybody have a Great week!!

After a few Dyno encounters, I have now gone to my 3rd revision of engine hold downs, started with a simple chain.

It seems like that this going to save parts later on, cause the motor do move around a bunch. Shifting gets even more shock loading on the mounts.
Woody, be well

I think we would be interested in how you did your engine tie downs.... I would like to see pics. Frame points and engine points.

Well here are some pics of the new intake, and the engine as of last night.

The NOS set up is just a full throttle and a micro switch. Nothing special.

This engine moves around ALOT. My local shop around here actualy thought my motor mounts were bad when he saw all the movement under the hood. You say it hooks that much better with them on though?

Tie down straps are cumbersome in the engine bay, how about solid mounts or engine tq dampers...

Let 240 take it to the track. I'd like to see some track numbers and your DA is perfect right now.

He would shoot his eye out!! lol

The tie straps are the best traction mod I have done. I will be taking it to the track at least one time. I will just make sure I dont run like a high 13. I get mad when stuff like that happens. So I am trying to work everything out first.

I am wanting to get some slicks and a smaller front tire, and my new seats before we go tear it up
