Leak Tester: How To?
Coming from an SRT-4 a few years back, I know how bad a boost leak can get. I was running stage2 with every bolt on and losing to stock SRT's because of an IC piping issue. Having just picked up an SRT6, I have no idea if the car is running at its full potential. I would like to perform a boost leak test just to ensure that everything is the way it needs to be.
Is it performed just the same way that you would on a turbo? I always just ran air pressure through the intake to see how much it could hold. If it is done the same way, what should we expect to see for pressure? I read that the cars hold 14psi stock, so Im assuming I should be able to hold 20 during the test.
Any input from people who have performed these would be much appreciated.

its not as easy as the neon.... there is no piping going from the blower to the tb like the neon... basically youre asking to see if your manifold is tightend down all the way....
i can say with about 80% certantiy that if you havent touched it its fine.
there are no weak *** hose clamps to worry about or anything like that.
i dont know where you go the 14psi stock that these hold unless youre talking about your peak psi you would see while driving.
i am going to have to say that these would be able to hold more pressure than the neons weak as hose clamps on the front mount could....
in all reality you could hook up your leak tester to the TB and pressurize it. but i highly doubt you will find a leak. you will most likely hear a noise from the hose that goes from your block to the intake tho. plug it while testing.
