Sorry to hear of your father's battle with cancer.

As far as Mods I am looking at the same since I just picked up my SRT in May.

At Carlisle this weekend. I had my NeedsWings CAI installed. The car seems to run better and of course you can now hear the supercharger wine up. Even if the HP is not much , it certainly makes the car more fun to drive.
My next mod is to look into shocks/springs to improve the ride of the car. Koni's sound like the way to go in this area.

After this. It is the possiblity of the pulley change. Sounds like these can add up to another 30-50 HP. Trying to find a used one from one of the members.

Good luck with the mods.

Add the 178 pulley. It may be a little more but by the time you get the sc pulley and belt wrap kit it's a wash for the extra power the 178 gives you. Plus you don't need a tune right away, but when you do the results are insane. Enjoy the nw intake that's great first mod.

That may be OK, but realize that you MUST use a new crank bolt. The crank bolts are one time only use for torque and torsion reasons...they are compromised upon removal.

Also, if you are looking for changing the crank pulley out why wouldn't you go with the 185mm. It does not limit what other modifications you can do, you can still belt wrap, HE, Intake, pump, IC separation, etc...

Nothing changes except it provides more power...it is a proven part for the AMG 3.2L engine.

(Disagree) Yes provides more power.
Just don't do any VERY "spirited" 40 mile drives if you run a large crank pulley or run stacked pulleys.

how spirited was this driving? i mean a lot of these people have been running 181 and 185 for a while now... could have just been a fluke on your car?

I jsut dont want everyone thinking if they drive there car hard with a crank pulley they will have there supercharger sieze on them.... sorry it happened to you it really stinks.

sorry to hear that, our best wishes.

for mods the usual path is...
cai
pulley
tune
heat exchanger/ic isolation
intake manifolds
exhaust
slicks

if that isnt enough to peel the skin back on your face let me know and we'll keep going
