another member james has them painted silver, i really like them.. they really stand out.. blue would blend in with the car too much
Not to step on toes here, but if you paint them black, they disappear under the car, only my opinion. I think the Aero Blue is a bright enough color they will show up. But then I recommend silver to match the trim on the rest of the car. They are molded in a charcoal color.
For what it is worth. James
PS Duplicolor makes a silver wheel paint I used that will match the trim fairly close. Over the silver I used clear. If you go Aero Blue, you may have to have them professional painted to match and that raises the cost considerably.

I have a SSB and left the diffusers black (or charcoal - whatever color they were when they arrived). I debated painting them but when I temporarily tried them out I liked them the original color. Plus I don't have to worry about rocks being thrown up and chipping the paint. When I detail the car I always put a coat of Meguiar's Hyperdressing on them to keep them looking new.
You might think this is an inane question but it shows that I'm paying attention ...what exactly is a rear diffuser? I'm assuming it isn't the rear spoiler. Is it a piece of trim that attaches on the bottom of the rear bumper? Color wise, I'm a fan of monochromatic paint schemes.
I purchased a set and didn't really care for the way they attached. (Tape & Screws)
So I adhered mine to the rear bumper with some stronger-than-sh*t panel adhesive.
I filled in the holes, smoothed the surface out - made them seamless at the bumper - then painted and clear coated.

I think you should go with the body color. It will stand out just the right amount. Even if you have to save up a little for getting it painted (which may be cheaper than you may think.)
Brians looks real "clean" meaning it looks like the factory planned it that way.
