Shipping wasnt high, they had to put it on a truck and ship it freight, freight is never cheap.

right now chrysler has 1 listed under special handling and shows no commitment date for the bumpers.

1 dealer about 4 hours away from me has one in stock, but im gonna try to find a used one first before i fork out full price + gas money to get one

 

Got home today, weather real nice... took the cover over in the he box to the body shop for paint. I told them to take their time so who knows when it will come back.

You would really get concerned about ours cars future if you knew what other body parts were on national back order. I've been waiting 2 months for the hoods chromed plastic Chrysler wings for spare stock. Thinking of wet sanding my origional down and painting the cars color. Squirrel Crusher

 

I am sure this is the case, and for the SRT guys, it would worry me even more. At least the NA guys have some parts still left and worst case scenerio, we can go to the junk yard. Not too many SRTs in junk yards because there are not that many SRTs period.

 

The body shop called today and told me that my bumper cover is painted and ready to go. I will pick it up tomorrow. So here is the damage I did to get prepared ahead of time!

 

Come on guys, show off your new bumper covers you've been waiting so long for!

No bug juice or rock chips, that won't last long!

 

It looks amazing! now you just need a set of SRT6 rims to complete the look. BTW, don't let the guys give you **** about posing, They never made a red SRT so you're in the clear.

 

Lookin' good James. Once again proving they shoulda made the SRT in RED. Wheels next?

 

Funny, that was the first reply I got from my son when he saw the new bumper! My wife said it may look more like an SE Coupe than an SRT if I get the wheels. I was told I am not allowed. But seriously, I like the Limited wheels on it with the red.

Next wheel bearings, then exhaust, then finished... I think.

Hey guys, are any of you still having problems getting the SRT bumper cover. I went to my local body shop today because I need a new one, and it should be here on friday of this week or monday of next. I had the manager call on the spot and they said it wouldn't be a problem. Maybe availability varies depending on what part of the country your in?

Last time I looked into it, it was like $50 cheaper than the NA front, somewhere between $325-$400 depending on where you can source it...

 

You brought it up...haha now i wanna see a alabaster with CF hood..mmm

 

The first time I bought one it was $345, which at the time was around $80 cheaper than the non-SRT bumper cover. But that was 2 years ago, the price of the one I just ordered is $427, and the non-SRT was more but I cant recall exactly how much. Maybe the price has gone up because they don't have as many because they don't make the car anymore? Any suggestions?

I'm already wanting to shoot for a Vorsteiner look anyways. This hood would simply ice it.
