Talking EC tune results over existing other tune

Hey guys, just thought you would like to see this.

Recently we had a member in the shop that wanted to switch tunes from his current tuning provider. I told him that we had never been beat by that tuner, and that if we couldn't beat the tune, I would pay all of our the dyno charges myself and put his origional tune back on for him.

I will let the results speak for themselves.

Dyno Dynamics reads lower than Mustang and just about every other dyno out there... it is the most accurate.

I am curious about this as well, especially since I am shopping for a tune.

He is running a 178 pulley (don't think its ours), and the nw CAI.

Just remember that there was no hardware change whatsover. These numbers are based over an existing "other major crossfire tuners" tune, not the stock map. Gains over stock are huge!

Thats what makes this so impressive.

Approx 25ftlbs torque
Approx 14rwph

Yes, gained that and the massive torque curve in the graph over an existing tune that he paid for already from another tuner.

Honestly Jake you are being a little modest. The old tune dynoed at 292 so it was actually a 16.5 hp gain.

As far as weather conditions the day of the dyno. HOT 89 degrees inside the shop

The car has so much more torque that there is no comparison to the way it was running before. It digs so much harder right from the start, and yea the a$$ dyno reads a lot higher

Is this the tune you used (Stage 2)?
Stage 2 Tuning - Crossfire Performance Parts SRT6 Stage 2 Tuning... | Eurocharged Performance a full service Mercedes, BMW, and

Also, do you offer lifetime or a number of ecu reflashes with the purchase?

On another note, any chance of doing a bolt-on catback SRT6 exhaust? I see the full exhaust on the site.

Thx.

Yes it is. We offer free reflashes on tunes.

Yes, we can easily do the exhaust for you, we already have jigs for that made.

Big increase in mid range range torque! nice job guys. How often do you get the star system in the shop. Would like to see some dyno runs all the way to redline, and full throttle at a lower rpm so see the full torque curve.

looks like that new tune actually lost power up to 2800 rpm, that's not something to brag about. I would want my old tune back.. granted you did make power above that, but it's cheesy

Actually, when looking at a dyno run, you cannot take into account any RPM less than about 3000. The point from idle to about 3000rpms is strictly the way the car was loaded up (how fast the gas pedal was mashed down).

This is true for all dyno results... The reason for this load up is it places less stress on the engine and the car as it is being tested. It also places less stress on the dyno itself.

So that being said, think what you will, I was just trying to inform.

With all the torque added to the car you would want your old tune back?

More than likely he went full throttle a little later on the new dyno pull.
