Alabama International Dragway
this is called midnite madness and all street cars are welcome. lets all meet there and have some fun running the 1/4 mile!! helmets are recommended but not required. 10$ to enter racing is free. runs from 9pm to 1am. gadsden al is only a few miles away for those who would like to overnite. email me at tbtunes@bellsouth.net if you need any additional info.

quite the opposite! i have posted on 4 different forums. got tired of rewriting to suit the different classes. all are welcome the more the better.
it seems like this is a great track for about a 4 state area. close to everybody

atlantagrant im going to stay in gadsden for the nite. if i get enough folks who want to stay the nite ill try to find a decent hotel and maybe get a group price

 

them must be little states...... thats about 8 states or so for me....

 

but your car is so fast you could cross them there states in no time!!

 

just a quick update next fri is race nite!! so far i dont have any srt-6's joining in the races. goodgenes79 should be there but has his son and wont be able to race. i have 2 slk32's for sure maybe 1 more a slk320 and a possible c55 joining in. come folks lets go racin!!!

 

maybe someone can make a run in my car, just to get a time on it

With barely any wheel-time behind the SRT, I'd want to do some practice launches AWAY FROM the staging lanes... or 1 mile away from civilization, just to be safe LOL.

I have countless hours autocrossing my truck but she launches a bit milder. Can't be too hard to master though, so I'll give it a go IF you're comfy with that option. Rest assured I'll be very cautious out of the hole.

These things launch best with a slight converter load @ 1250 RPM, right? Then roll from 3/4 throttle to full once traction bites?

 

not quite jon. you stand on the throttle and when the rubber burns completely off the rims then it grabs and off you go!!! if you dont care im bringing an extra video cam and was hoping you could shoot some film if the conditions allow it. ill have 1 in car and 1 outside

quick update. as for now steele al. is calling for 80% chance of rain and thunderstorms fri evening. still waiting until fri by 2pm to decide if im going to risk hitting rain with the dr's on but if it rains sunday test and tune is sunny and 70. 10$ admission 10$ to race. so one way or another ill be leaving some rubber in al!!
