I have had a LET 185 pulley setup since they first came out publicly and would recommend a ASP 178 pulley for those looking. Everybody I've seen with the ASP has had no issues and their cars seem to run abnormally fast. I won't go into my setup's issues but will say that some have been resolved..............and one has magically been forgotten about(over and over again).

They did this with the thought that there are two different audiences they are drawing from, those who want just some more power and those who want as much power as possible... This is the reasoning behind the 181mm no longer be offered in the Eurocharged product line.

Even though it is no longer offered in the product line Eurocharged still provides 100% technical support for 181mm pullies that have been purchased.

And that is why I said the 'vendors' figured..... I didnt want to put words in anyones mouth. (they may not like the taste)

Mopar,
I also got the 181 when they first came out. But I have not had a bit of trouble with mine since installed.

I am still fighting that intermittant P0335 CPS error though.

I have been running the 181 and the code 3 for a while now. Running stacked (dual pulleys) has been frowned on mostly. The main reason I was given was because of A/F ratio concerns. My stacked car AFR at the top of third gear is about 11.2 or so. Most expected that I would be running way lean. Another concern is that you are really spinning the heck out of the pulleys and the SC. I ran at speeds well over 100mph for an extend period and my SC seized up. A result of over spinning?
My other car I'm running a custom made 192 pulley. Don't know the AFR on it yet as I have not installed the gauge yet. But the black tail pipes give me some assurance that I'm not running too lean (I hope).

So the bigger the Pulley the more boost you can get? If so why does the asp 178 pulley seem to be putting up very solid numbers?

IMO it is not about any singular part that is the absolute best... I think it is about the combination of certain parts that creates the best result...

so some 178mm pulley users like cruzin will have better ETs and Hp numbers because of the total combination of mods...over another user with different mods.

also, because the vehicles were hand built, each engine responds differently to different modifications...

Along with more boost you are generating more heat (in our application). Hotter air = less power.

For the original poster:

Here's something to think about. The fastest SRT-6 who posted times on DragTimes.com was using an LET 181mm pulley (Jeff Croy) and also using nitrous. But even without the nitrous, he still holds the fastest record.

Second: Harry using an Evotech pulley. I don't know what size that is, as the posted didn't specify.

Third: Cruizinquick with an ASP 178mm pulley.

Fourth: Rob@NeedsWings with an ASP 178mm pulley.

Fifth: DistantPulse with an ASP 178mm pulley.

Sixth: Brad with an ASP 178mm and Code3 68mm pulleys combined.

Seventh: Thumper with a Code3 pulley.

Eighth: Cross><fire with an ASP 178mm pulley.

Ninth: Mimi05SRT6 with a Code3 pulley.

Tenth: MrPhotoman with a Code3 pulley.

That means that half of the top ten fastest SRT-6s are using ASP 178mm pulleys. Four out of ten are using Code3 pulleys (one is using both). Notice that there have been no 185mm pulleys to break into that top ten list. To me that speaks volumes about which one to buy.

And for everyone else: yes, I am keeping track.

I am number 19 on that list.

Brad with the sixth best time drives a combo like 193MM Crank-Pulley!!! So it can be done. Personally I would not go that big, but in my opinion with serious cooling you can go a little further than 178mm, which I showed in my video... Still want to see a higher speed run with the 178mm.

Edit: Wasn't here a post from GURAN (from Sweden) he did the 1/4 mile in 11,9 Sec. in his SLK32. If I remember correctly he had the 185mm...

It was my friends SLK32. Last race he did 11.68, with magnetic clutch problem. He lost 100 hp at 5000 rpm. The problem is fixed and next race is 20/9. He is using 185 mm LET pulley. No nitrous.

Wow, this is fast... Congrats. Is it possible to make a High-Speed Run in Sweden? Maybe we can compare our cars a little bit, this would be great

This is mine : YouTube - SLK32 AMG 100-270 KM/H

Thanks for the props. I'd like to point out that Harry sprays meth. Old post explained and MD had port and polish work to get deeper in the 11's. He's now in the 11.50's without nitrous.

I was the first to get in the 11's with the least amount of parts, and still am. When I ran my 11.97 it was with a single Needswings intake, InMotion Rob's tune, 178 ASP crank pulley, and Hoosier drag radials. That was at 2100' DA. My run at 11.89 was with NW mani's, and Ypipe, but DA was 1600'. So 4 parts it took me to get in the 11's with crappy DA. Now I have the dual CAI added, so in search of negative DA to take that top spot with a 178.

edit: Had to add for the newbies that my numbers below are the videos for those passes (just click on them), and be safe and do it on the track only.

Oh, wait. Smack talk aside, I envy your ability to use yours. Mine has only been driven 900 miles since the fall 2008 dragon.
