Smile Relay Control Module (engine won't start) - Repair Offer

NOTE: Posted a DIY - How to Relay Control Module Repair
go here ---> https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-no-start.html

Received NYPD-Crossfire's Relay Control Module (RCM) and found his problem. I will repair it, add the "Me so Horny" mod (if he wants it) and return it.

Pics and more to follow.

Now if I can get a few more to look at to see if it is a common problem that would be cool!

Anyone else that has a bad RCM that wants it looked at and (hopefully) repaired let me know. Lets get this problem figured out once and for all!

I think there was someone here in Flagstaff with a bad RCM. Post up on the n/a board. Maybe they still have it.

I hate having to make multiple posts but cuz ours are separated, Coupe, Roadster, SRT6 I guess it's the only way.
I have a Coupe, Roadster and they are both SRTs. Where to post??

I'll post for them to come to this thread to respond.

I hope to get at crumpy's tommorow. If it is the RCM, I will send it to you

Cathy's going to CT for three weeks (my snoring is getting to her) so her SRT can be down for a while. That said, I may just get a new one and have your repairs be on a back up unit for my NA.

Question; What's the ME SO HORNY mod and more importantly, should I put it on Crumpy's SRT or my roadster?

That's fine but it doesn't answer my question. At 62 I must worryabout ampification of my hormones.
The Cialis bottle warns against taking with Nitrates. Use of digitalisis not recommended either so if this is in my car, must I warn my doctor.

Secondly is it more effective to use in the man's car or the woman's?

Thanks, DJ, for taking this one on.

Guys, I sent my "bad" RCM to DJ last week and he has already located the problem and believes he's got it fixed.

This would be VERY GOOD NEWS for all of us who have (and will have) spent hundreds each to replace the RCM when the car won't start.

If DJ can duplicate the problem and repair on additional RCMs, then we won't have to keep buying new ones -- we can just apply his mod.

I gladly sacrificed my old RCM in the spirit of this most-excellent forum that has already saved me THOUSANDS!

Thanks again DJ!

And don't think we don't appreciate it.

Hey Folks. While poking around the RCM I also noticed what may be causing some of us (myself included) problems with getting the dreaded PO505 fault code. Once I get a look at a few different RCM's I may be able to determine if what I suspect might be the problem, is the problem.
Once I can verify these problems (need more RCM's) I'll do one of my DIY's with extensive pics and write up on how to fix the RCM yerself for both problems.
If this all works out we will save big $$$ and a lot of headaches.

I believe the RCM was a recall on the early SLK's by MB, but Chrysler refused to address the problem for the Crossfire owners, what a surprise! This was a thread about 2-3 years ago and the info ws obtained off the MB World site....
