Default Loss of Power

I have an SRT with 14,000 miles. A month ago I was sitting at idle for quite some time due to accident. When I went to give it some gas around 60 it just did not respond. Did this all the way home.

I did notice when the car is cold the pickup seems to be there and then goes away again.

Assume from what I read here it is the IC pump.

Plan to take it to the dealer since I have extended warranty. Just have to wait until we have some decent weather.

Still a fun car and can't wait to get the performance back.

If I was a betting man I would go with the IC Pump. Welcome to the IC pump club.

Don't be so quick to jump on the IC pump bandwagon.
Others have found problems with the air temp sensor to cause the same symptoms.
I had

I had the same problem I was told that the IC pump was going bad and to get a Johnson Pump to cure my problem. So I spent $170 got the pump, installed it and...you guessed it, same problem.
Woody told me to move the heat exchanger higher up into the air flow (free mod). I did that and have been problem free ever since. That includes while running stacked pulleys.
Might be worth a try. Worked for me!

Of course now I'm running the Super Cooler on both cars. Still no overtemp problems!

Thanks for the updates. As soon as I can dig(snow) the car out of the garage I will take it to the dealership since I bought the extended warranty.

Will keep sensor in mind as well.

Regards,

Thanks Pat,

I just got back from Florida yesterday. I was gone during the storms.

Can't wait to get the car out and finish waxing it.

Probably was 80 degrees where you were ! Glad you are back to share our misery. I can't wait to get mine out either. haven't driven it for two weeks now. In fact the last time I went anywhere was when we got together that Sunday. Oh well Burtonsville is only 5-6 short weeks away even sooner if it warms up in March.
