As much as I'm gonna miss the Alabaster 6 Speed...
A SSB SRT will have to do!
Been a long time coming, just trying to plan now, any "fixes" I should think to do before I start modding? Also I know I could search this...but search is broken from my phone browser...an upgraded pulley and tune with CAI is my first step, but I remember hearing issues of bearings going bad. Which pulley would be the nicest as far as dependability? Ive seen lots of code3's but just wanted some opinions, as this is my second FI venture but my first supercharged one. I've seen versions of pulleys with and without notches, what's the difference? Anyone who feels like imparting some knowledge would be appriciated. Oh and as far as the deal I got... I'll tell the full story of my second love when I'm at my computer.

i have the code 3 and love it. if i had to get a crank pulley 178 would be my choice.
tuning is the key no matter how you go. get eurocharged and a dyno tune you will love it.
cooling mods are a big advantage as is exhaust work. again eurocharged has headers now.
with the pulleys the needswings pulley saver kit is a big hit! i now have a psk for my c3 and after more testing rob will offer it with the other kits
enjoy!!

All bearing will fail at some point..... so monitoring is the key to preventing disaster..
The C3 or one of the new crank pullies from Eurocharged.... I would go with a 181mm crank pulley..(oh yeah, I did!
), Dual NW CAI and EC tune..... that we get you down the road in double quick time!!
You will not get a definitive answer that everyone will agree on, or even most.
For CAI, it can be narrowed down to NW or SL55
For pulleys.... well, people are passionate about their pulleys.
For SC pulley there is the Code3. For crank pulleys, you have 178, 181, and 185. Everyone has an opinion on these.
For tunes, there is Eurocharged and InMotion. People are even more passionate about their tunes than they are about their pulleys. LOL
You may want to check out Dragtimes.com and see what the fastest cars are running.
And, yes there are other options than listed above, but this covers the ones that would be argued the most.

As bmorgan says, everyone has their opinions on their parts. You can see what I went with from my signature. Even so, I don't get too crazy about this part or that one. Here's my opinion on the different CAIs and pulleys:
For the CAI:
If you want to look almost stock under the hood, get the SL55.
If you want the cool custom look (and more supercharger whine) get the NeedsWings CAI.
If you can fit it in your budget, get the NW dual CAI.
For Pulleys:
The Code3 has performed well for me, and it is by far the easiest to install. It performs marginally lower than the 178mm crank pulleys.
The 178mm crank pulleys seem to be the king performers - at least going from the times on dragtimes.com. Most of the top racers use the 178mm. Don't be too fooled by that as most of these 178mm owners are also heavily modified in other areas, so it's not just the 178mm pulley.
The 181mm and the 185 (and I think someone somewhere even has a 190) crank pulleys don't seem to perform quite as well as the 178 right out of the box. There are a lot of theories about this, the most common is that the 181 and 185 are pushing the supercharger into a less efficient range of operation where they generate more power but lots more heat. The theory goes that the added heat increases IATs and saps power. No one has proven or disproven this, so I'm just putting it out there.
If I was doing it all over again, I would go with a 178mm crank pulley myself. Then if I wanted more later, I could easily add a Code3 mid-sized SC pulley and be the equivalent of the 185mm crank. You can also get away without an ECU tune with just those two mods. You'll probably want one anyway, but wait for a tuning event and get it dyno tuned. It costs a little more, but it is worth it.
Regardless of which way you go, you can't go wrong with a pulley and a CAI. You'll be adding some serious power and your car will be soo much more fun to drive!

well, that pretty well summed it up very well.....but, one other thing, once you start, it gets addictive....$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$....you will bleed these....sorry, but true....lol
I got the CAI and Code3 supercharger pulley. Then I realized I needed the cooling mods. Now I have no traction so I can't find out how much faster I'm going. Still no tune but once I find some grip I'll be shopping.
If I had to do it over I would get the dual CAI first, supercooler and H/E separation kit and then some sort of pulley. From searching it seems a tune is equal to .5 in the 1/4 mile. Real tempting.

I have still not done any cooling mods, and so far, I have not suffered from it. But then, I am not hugging the equator like you are either. LOL
My IAT's are fantastic on my car using the stock heat exchanger.
Just read up on the results people have with their mods and spend your money wisely. There are a lot of parts out there that are hype and give little to no results and there are parts out there that are a big bang for the buck if you just pay attention. You can be moderately fast for a bunch of money or be faster than most for a much more reasonable amount of money.

Well 240 had a buddy that wanted to sell a Code3 for $250 with trade of stock s/c pulley...so that's officially the first mod, then its CAI time....
As far as dyno tuning goes, I live in Nebraska and am in the military so I can't go terribly far "on a weekend" to get a dyno tune done, so I'll be shopping around for whichever tuning company has a 'pre-made' tune for an otherwise stock SRT6 with a code3 and nw dual CAI, hopefully should get me the same results, or at least I hope.
