Well I was on my way home from a disapointing night at the track when I passed a late 90's supra at about 70mph. I was a good ways ahead of it when I look in the mirror and saw these headlight coming up on me really quick. Well It was an empty section of 4 lane so I figured what the heck and stomped it to the floor. His front end made it up to my door about the time I hit a 100 and that was it by 120 I was 4 cars ahead of him so I slowed down and went back on cruise. He pulls back up next to me and jumps on it I could hear the turbo whine but only for a second as my dual cai quickly drowned it out and he managed to get his rear bumper even with my front and then it was all over as I walked away from him. As we came into town the passenger gave me a big thumbs up. Needless to say I felt much better after that and very proud of my car especially since he had such a big run on me the first time.

 

Just file that under, "Stories that won't be repeated on the Supra forum". Good kill.

basic performance upgrade.
basically a supra that still has stock turbos.
most of the mods consits of downpipe, exhaust, boost controller, tune... etc. a well tuned bpu supra can make 480

 

congrats on a rare opporitunity, most of the supra's we see at the track run 14.5's at 125mph, with "800hp" licence plate frames. i bet you surprised the hell out of him on the highway where he has no excuse.

and your taking one down does us all proud. Keep up the good work, but
remember to watch your rear view for advancing flashing lights...

I don't know about 480whp.. 350-400 on bpu. I've raced a couple sups bpu and apu I can garentee his win was no fluke

 

I only bench race "stock" cars.lol I figure you can go as fast as you want to spend, and all that proves is you're willing to lay more cash out to get what you want.

If it cost 1/2 as much to get a Supra into the 11's than it does for a SRT6 to do the same thing, just means it's more expensive to mod a Mercedes than it cost to mod a Toyota.

Supras are Bad Asp car no doubt, but SRT's aren't chopped liver either.

what has 1200whp, costs $35,000+, runs 12's and makes ricers wet their pants?

Low 12's high 11's from BPU's. I havent seen it.

 

I've seen a couple Supras make 450whp on stock turbos..

 

Do they go high 11's low 12's on some sticky radials like nitto drags? I dont keep up with it that much. Still not hard to believe an srt6 beat a modded supra. Our power comes on hard, no turbo lag.
