What a pain this was. I suppose the pulley being aluminum and the S/C snout being steel that while hot they were able to expand just enough to come off when pulled straight out. Whatever the reason, it is off and the stocker is on. Thanks for everyones help.
Now I need a new bearing the the C3 for I am guessing it is on its way out and may be the cause of the pulley noise I was concerned about. Although I still would like to change the bigger idler too. Cheers

haveu replaced the S/C pulley bearing yet? Is the inner sleeve (the part that is in contact with the shaft) a seperate piece? I chipped mine a bit, but probably not enough for it to cause a problem. I will post pics when I can. Is it an easy job?
Wow! I can't believe you went to all that trouble to swap the pulley back to stock just to have your car serviced!!! What were you having done? Work on the supercharger?
Keep in mind that there are only 3,000 of these cars in the WORLD! The chances of any Chrysler service department seeing more than a few of these cars is slim. The mechanic is NEVER gonna be able to tell by sight the difference between the stock pulley and the Code3. Sure, you and I can tell, but we know exactly what we're looking for. The mechanic is just gonna see a pulley right where a pulley is supposed to be.
Heck, unless the mechanic owns an SRT-6, he won't even notice the difference driving the car.
Now, if you put on intake manifolds and a cold air intake, they'll notice that.

I have had trouble with dealerships before and just wanted to make sure that nothing went wrong. I am taking her in because the tranny is not shifting right. Manual downshifting while stomping the gas, or stomping the gas to make it downshift makes her go into neutral until I let off the gas. I did a big pull against a modded C6 and both times it choked trying to shift from 4 to 5. It doesn't do it all the time, just when I don't want it to. lol

Gene, keep us posted. I'm very interested in what they find is the problem. I've noticed some odd shift patterns in my SRT when I'm racing. I wouldn't have caught it if I hadn't been data logging, but my car shifts early in some cases, rather than running to red line like it should. That's hurting my times, but I don't know why its doing it. Maybe mine is in the early stages of whatever yours is doing.
Best of luck with it!

...and a general trans fluid flush will probably help a bit too.
I had just changed the fluid and filter to see it would help my problem. It seemed better the first day but problems were still there, once everything got wrmed and circulating for a couple of days. We will see if they can even replicate the problem.
jason its a simple repair. put the pulley in a press and pop the old bearing out. a tad bit of grease on the outside of the new bearing ond press it in reinstall the retaining clip. takes 5 minutes

Thanks Les. But I'm not sure that was the case with me. I shouldn't be spinning out at the top of second gear with drag radials on and on a prepped track. This car just doesn't make that kind of power! I don't think my traction control light was blinking, but I can't be certain. Shame the logs don't show the TC status.
Remember that our independent rear suspension will increase negative camber when it squats under power. See post 11.

DISCLAIMER: I run 2.29º negative camber in the front and 2º negative camber in the back. See the difference between the front and rear under full throttle at the top of 2nd gear? Shouldn't they look the same? With lots of negative camber I believe the tires will spin even with drag radials. But, I could be wrong.
