Anyone running a turned down stock pulley?
Just looking to see if anyone is running one and what did you get it turned down to. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the C3 65mm? Anyone running smaller than that? I think we have had similiar discussions on here before but could find and not sure where it lead. The stocker being steel should hold its form better without warping at the mill, if it is cooled properly. I guess I am just looking for some opinions and/or experience with a s/c pulley other than C3.

155 / 74 = (2.10) * 5.8K = 12,180 SC RPM (Factory)
178 / 74 = (2.41) * 6K = 14,460 SC RPM
181 / 74 = (2.45) * 6K = 14,700 SC RPM
185 / 74 = (2.50) * 6K = 15,000 SC RPM
155 / 65 = (2.38) * 6K = 14,280 SC RPM
155 / 64 = (2.42) * 6K = 14,520 SC RPM
155 / 63 = (2.46) * 6K = 14,760 SC RPM
I might go with the stocker turned down to 64mm. It would be closer to or just better than 178, . I have yet to confirm that TVT will do this but I need to get the funds together first. I need to find some things to sell, for this was not on the list of things to do, lol.

Just doing some nerd math here....
Looks like based on the above calculations you gain:
- 81.65 SC RPM for every one (1) millimeter you increase the size of the crank pulley.
- 172.16 SC RPM for every one (1) millimeter you decrease the size of the supercharger pulley
Just some random information that could help those guys thinking about turning down their sotck SC pullies to run stacked.

Maybe TVT would like to jump in here and update us on there experiences with the turned down pullies. It may spark some business being as the C3's seem to be so elusive and expensive these days.
It is nice that our stockers are steel, for as I found out, aluminum vs a 6,000lbs press..... well that is another thread, .

say that $375 is rather steep to take a part and grind a little of the metal
off. And, if you want to go smaller than 69mm, you'll need a new bearging
as well (price for this is not listed).

I think they mentioned the bearing is for safety reasons. I know they have a guy running much smaller with no issues, but better safe then sorry I guess.
Maybe one day I'll have a SRT to try it on.

I've been looking for a C3, but having the stock pulley machined down to whatever size I want does sound appealing. Not for $375 though, considering the extra cost for shipping and the fact that you don't actually get a part out of the deal. I'd rather spend the extra $$$ for a C3.

Wow, Where have I been? I had to do some searching for the banned TVT thread but just WOW. I, for one, will not be swayed by this occurrance. Anthony has helped me out by answering questions and giving suggestions to save me money, and I muchly appreciate it. That is all and I don't want this to turn into a TVT for or against thread. I will post up results, thanks for playing, lol.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with TVT, and after reading the thread I thought it sounded a tad childish that he got banned anyway. I just wanted to point out that not a lot of people knew he/they were still in business. I have been messaging him about making TVT tubes for the SL 55 intake, and would probably have the stock pulley machined down if it didn't cost so much.

Yea they are still in business and going strong. I know they started doing their oen custom tuning and have begun on more suspension pieces.
I'll be getting the entire adjustable rear suspension, TVT250, custom ecu tune, and SRT6 exhaust very very soon.

My note was not to disparage TVT in any way, shape or form. I've been
quite happy with the parts I've purchased from them, and thought the price
for those was quite fair. I just don't see where it would be cost effective
to buy a new OEM pulley (at retail price), then pay an additional $375 to
have someone mount it on a metal lathe and trim it down. And I have to
assume, as I didn't see any mention on the web page, that there would be
an additional cost if I wanted to go lower than 69mm and had to purchase
a new bearing. Just not in my ballpark when I've already got a code3 that
is already smaller (original batch).

a brand new pulley as I want to keep the option open for returning the
system to stock by re-applying the stock pulley. If I send off my stock pulley and have it turned, I won't have this option (unless I buy a new
pulley) .

C3. If the shave pulley from TVT should have any problem, I'll want the
C3 around. I know, I know... I just can't seem to let anything go. The
