Hey guys,

I was watching Overhaulin and a Universal Technical Institute (UTI) commercial came on. About 2/3 of the way through they were interviewing this guy and to his left there was a SRT6 engine just sitting there. It was a great back-drop! As few of them as there are, to see one like this was pretty cool.

Thought I would share.

was it a srt engine or a Slk32 engine

 

It had SRT on the intake manifolds.

Gotta love the DVR. I had gotten up and was walking by the TV when I caught it out of the corner of my eye....I was like, NO couldn't have been, but let me just see anyway. Hit rewind and sure enough SRT engine just sitting there making a nice backdrop.

 

I believe this is the commercial being referred to. Gonna have to go with ////AMG on the upper plenums but still a great commercial.

Oh well.....still cool that they used a SRT/AMG engine as a back-drop!

Try telling that to a "real" Mercedes owner.

 

wasn't an SRT6 engine, no SC......but it was an AMG....

 

What-ever... :P

The drivetrain and 80% of the car is the same... "I'm" cool with that...

 

Definitely AMG, and there is definitely a S/C on that bad boy.

 

I am happy that I made a mistake....it means that they pulled the engine out of an old low-po C32 or SLK32 AMG and NOT an ultra rare, high end, high horsepower SRT6! hahaha!
