SRT Tranny Shift Enhancements
Does anybody know what you can do with the TSU or Electronics to improve shift speeds and reactions?
I was told by another member about working on the valve body but I want something easier.
The same basic tranny is used on Dodge Challenger and even on the Mclaren SLR.
There has to be someone out their with the smarts to have made progress in this area.

I definitely agree that it would be nice if the tranny held the gears longer and downshifted sooner with less throttle. I was hoping that the tuning guys could make these changes in shift points. Can they?-Rusty
Well, no one inexpensive works on these from the Mercedes side. You can try Southern Hot Rod or Builder Bill but they may not know how their parts will work with our TCU or ECU. But they are used and recommended for the LX's.

I believe that I am the only one running a Paramount Performance modified valve body in an SRT6.
NOTE: According to Builder Bill our transmissions are different from the other ones. We have actual MB trans built with better parts than those of the other variety.
When I requested a modded valve body he would not sell me one of the others and insisted that I send in the Crossfire valve body because of the difference.
Had a great relationship going with Bill until the valve body was installed and not shifting as I expected (2 -3 and up shifts seem longer). He hasn't replied to emails since.

Now I remember! Sorry it didn't turn out right for you. Our TCM is different and I'll bet that is the biggest problem. Looks like blue tops are it, if they do anything at all for our cars.

I have the blue top solenoids and love them. It still does not shift as snappy as I would like but it is a whole lot better than stock.

DJ, I hadn't heard that about your transmission issues (though I probably just forgot about it)... and that is truly a shame, if it is the same Builder Bill I am thinking of he has done some amazing and awesome things for the SRT8 GC...
Sorry it didn't work out for you
