I had the chance to drive a CLK55 AMG today. I have to say that the car was fast but not as fast as I expected it to be. I guess I must be used to the acceleration of my SRT, which seemed to put me in my seat a little more. The CLK55 was a smoother acceleration though. Some of the interior seemed kinda cheap, especially the window switches and even the center console which was plastic. I took a few pics. They actually look better in the pictures than they do in person.

 

Test drive an E55. The CLK55 and the C55 are both N/A V8 whereas the E55 and SL55 are S/C 5.5L V8. E55s are fantastical.

 

I didn't realize the CLK55 was only 376hp, which is still not bad....I really want to drive the SL55....That's my next car

 

I love the looks of them. But a big clock in the instrument cluster? WTF?

 

That did seem to be out of place. LOL

 

E55 for me, already have the two seater in SRT form.. next it will be the E55. Which some folks are getting low 11s fairly easily and 10s with a good bit of work.... off the bottle.

 

The E55 is very nice car, I'm just in love with the styling of the SL. I've loved that car since in came out in 03. I even like the 30-08 body style better then the new one.

 

This would be my ideal SL55
