Today coming home from work I was doing about 55mph steady and my basesp light came on and my car started dying I pulled over tried to give it gas and nothing happened I then shut it off for a while then re started it and it ran normal has anybody else had this problem?

 

alernator or battery possibly. Had something similiar happen to me when my alternator went out and battery wasn't charging up properly.

 

Thanks I cleaned the battery terminals they were dirty drove it to work had no problems, is the alternator for the n/a same as the srt6? Maybe I should look into one I got about 73,000 miles on the clock already

 

Strange thing my stock alternator went out at 13k. I was told Mercedes had a bad batch of them out of the box. The replacement hasn't given me any issues though.
