You motivated me to go make some 0-60 runs. back up a couple of posts for the results.

These will be $20K in few months, why fight up-hill.

Not bad Bob. Do you think you will ever take it to the track? I would think it would pull really good on the back half of the quarter mile.

So, Doc.... Do you think Taz would be in the low 11 range? Or better? I am looking forward to seeing that beast this weekend.

I kind of like the crossfire because it is a Chrysler. I don't know what it is about Mercedes, but I couldn't realisticly see myself driving one.

They are an amazing car, but to be honest just as hard to make very fast as the SRT, the only one's I've seen in the 11's are ones that have added a supercharger system.

I'm sure Taz's car will be in the low 11's with the power to weight ratio.

[quote=oledoc2u]wow.....and I just took a ride in Taz's car this morning and after reading through all this, it is OK to dream. But, I will be first to tell you that car is just plain crazy...looks factory, nice sleeper car for sure...50 mph kick down, without touching the button, and we were sideways...

after seeing Taz's car...that is just plain nuts quote]

Hey Doc, So how does Taz's SRT compare to riding in mine (other than the loud exhaust)? I ran three runs in the low 11's (off the N2O) On Nitto's when we rented the track for a day. We are heading back for another track day in a couple of weeks and I will be hitting the spray after the 1/8 mile this time. I'm hoping to get in the 10's.

Take care out there!!!

There just isn't any replacement for displacement and especially if it has a supercharger on top! I have driven and rode in some SRT's. They are very quick and seemed refined. The V8 just has a real bad A$$ attitude and torque that pushes you hard in the seat. A V8 will cruise nicely like any car, but when you nail it it feel like you unleashed a phyco monster.

What about this guys?

CryO2 Tank and Installation Kit - Crossfire Performance Parts SRT6 CryO2 Tank and... | Eurocharged Performance a full service M

I haven't heard much about it but it seems to be promosing, I know how much faster my car is at night when its cold, if this could help replicate that could chill then it'll be great.

Looks like a good idea.

I really think you guys have pushed the limits of the stock exhaust manifolds. Some long tube headers would probably get the highly modified SRT's 30-40HP and less for the stocker.

I'm 100% in agreement with you Lantana. Long tubes are what we need. And I'll bet the other mods we already have will yield even more power with long tube headers.

The only thing is I dont know where to get the refill done and I dont know how long a bottle will last to contrast something like nitrous.

Im sure there is a way to get long tube headers to fit our application, it might be tight squeeze but i believe it can happen, it just depends on whos willing to get the ball rolling

I know a place that does custom work but I think they are expensive. But, I'll talk to them. I'm thinking of using them for my wavetrac instal so I'd planned on a conversation already. If I find the price reasonable ...... who knows.

I found a place in Dallas that does beautiful work and he also will make sure they are equal length. The first set is a little over $2K but he said additional sets would be much more reasonable. If you guys got about 5 guys to go for it you could average the price over the 5 so the first guy doens't have to take the big hit. I also want a set for my car and they would be very similar except one more tube on each side.

I believe thats resonable but it depends on how much the following sets will cost, I'm assuming he has seen your cars engine bay? If he can truly fit long tube headers of equal length with our limited space I think we should get the ball rolling on this one...

Also Les see what your guy says it would be good to have options aswell

Did Importlab ever get his turbo SRT running right? what would be a rough estimate of converting from the s/c to a turbo set up like importlab's?

More then likely you will need to re-arrange some furniture and either cut into the firewall or fender wells.

Any Dynographs yet? You can always ease into a dyno run - avoiding stress on the differential and still get a good feel or RWHP and RWTQ...
