Default What to check on a SRT

So I have been wanting a SRT for years now. Going to look at another one tonight. What should I look for mechanically thats different than the NA? Its inspected and passed the dealerships "120 point isnpection" but I dont trust that.

Check your rear view mirror as the cars behind you get smaller and smaller.

Probably the main thing would be to ensure that you are getting power out of the SC. If they will let you, do a throttle body reset.... bring it up to operating temps.... and then punch it to see what kind of acceleration you are getting. The IC pump is an issue on these, but an easy replacement.

Check the engine for leaks. Check the rims for curb rash. Make sure you have both plastic foglight panels in front of the front wheels. Check every accessory. Have them put it up on a lift and check for damage. Listen for unusual noises when shifting and accelerating.

How many miles are on the car?......if less than 20k, check the IC pump, and valve covers for leaks....if more than that, price now becomes more important....now the crank sensors, etc can start to go wrong...none of these things are killers though....

32k miles.
Car was nice, in good shape. One mechanical thing which I think could be a deal breaker. Speeding up on the highway, hit 55mph, super charger kicked in at 3.5k RPM, we hit 4k, I let off gas and coasted for 1 second, then the car lurched, like I tapped the brakes. I coasted down the hill then I realized the transmission slipped out of gear or something. It was still in drive, and would rev up, but I wasnt going nowhere. Had to pull over turn off and back on and it fixed it. We didn’t talk about price last night. They gonna have their mechanic look at it. There was a few other minor things I asked to have fixed like the back of the driver’s seat heater didn’t work, both silver door handles (not what u pull to open, what u pull to close) flaking on the door handles and was sharp, and the cupholder was broken, and the trim around the middle vents was popped off (not sure if they were doing work on it). They going to fix and I might go back Friday to test it out again. The carfax was kind of fishy, as it showed 2 buyers, but the dealer tried to tell me the original dealership sold it to themselves to boost numbers and get more stock. Also the spark plugs were changed 3 times in the cars first 400 miles.

Popping out of gear is most likely caused by low transmission fluid. It's probably leaking at the electrical connector plug on the transmission.

How long has it sat on the lot? Something I noticed about the SRT's up here in MN was that they all sat for 18+ months. Low miles but really high price. Dealers don't know enough about them and they get neglected until something goes wrong. I tore a transmission out of one that I test drove and I was even nice enough to get it up to temp before stepping on it. Ended up driving the last half a mile back to the dealership in 2nd gear limp mode and if I went above idle, it wouldn't move. The sales guy with me for the test drive was so sorry it happened and assured me it was something they could fix, the manager on the other hand was out of his mind upset and tried to force me to buy it and then get it fixed under warranty but I wasn't having any of it. The car was still on their lot when I moved to WI.

They have had it for 2 months. It was warmed up. Ran for about 7 mins at idle, than 10 minutes on back streets.
