Spoiler question
They will probably change it out with a different design, like they did for the convertable. Public reaction for the larger spoiler wasn't good. In fact I don't think anyone likes it!
glad people share my sentiments. the part of the car that i like the most is the way the shape changes from a low, flat front to a streamlined, boat-tail backend. reminds me of those old drawings of bullet trains. the new spoiler, f's tat all up!
All the reports I've read thus far have said that the new, bigger wing on the SR-T is stationary. That is, it won't move up like on the current coupe.
On Friday I attended the New York Auto Show where they had the SRT coupe and roadster both on display, as well as the original coupe. I asked the Chrysler reps there if it does move up on the SRT, and the answer was yes, it will move like it does on ours. It also appeared that the larger SRT wing will be able to be retrofitted to our cars. It looked to me like it was just a bolt on to the original wing. As far as I could see, the only exterior differences were the larger wing, and the front lip spoiler. I plan on getting both pieces and putting them on my Crossfire. I think the front lip spoiler looks awesome, more aggressive and lower to the ground. I think the rear wing looks OK - If it didnt move, I wouldn't like it at all, but I think when it moves up it would look insane.
Of course, I hope the Chrysler reps were correct on their representation on this. Now that I'm thinking about it, in the pics of the SRT, the wing was not raised - but it also may have been under 62 mph.

I really don't see, from the early pictures, that the rear wing on the SRT-6 is retractable. Just look at it:

There's no bay for the spoiler to retract into. Unless it's going to be different in the production models, which is quite possible.

I guess whether or not it moves up on the SRT doesn't really matter. I agree it looks bad if its stationary. But I think if I got one and attached it on the moving spoiler we currently have, it would look awesome when it moves up. A little extreme maybe - but very sharp.
