SRT-6 vs Audi TTRS
Hi everyone! Hope you are enjoying your XFs!
Just a question regarding speed. Will the SRT6 be able to compete withe the Audi TTS / RS?

I would say that the best driver would win. Or, the one with the most mods.
Audi TT RS
0 to 60 mph: 4.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.2 sec
SRT-6
0 to 60 mph: 4.8 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.4 sec
Audi TT RS
0 to 60 mph: 4.5 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.2 sec
SRT-6
0 to 60 mph: 4.8 sec
Standing ¼-mile: 13.4 sec
~ i'm a big fan of the audi tt rs - costly but unique.

It doesn't matter what Audi it is, they all are freaking great looking. Never have owned one but seriously thinking about putting an app at a new audi dealer being built down the road. Would love to test drive these everyday.
As an A4 and an A6 owner, Audis do not hold value as well as BMW or Mercedes. But I love my A6 2.7T and my Crossies. The TT series, especially the roadsters, are beautiful cars but expensive. I think the 3.2 goes in the $40-50s so the RS could be even more. Remember these are also quattros.

Folks used to call the VW Beetle a pregnant roller skate. I used to figure the VW was about 8 to nine months, while the TT was around 4 to 6 months. Never could understand why a man would want to be seen behind the wheel of a old style TT.
Just my opinion, probably not even worth $0.02.

Audis are nice cars when they are not broken. The problem is that they break often, and they are RIDICULOUSLY expensive to repair. I live in Colorado and there are Audis everywhere. Accompanying every Audi owner who is out of warranty is a litany of sob stories about how much they cost to keep running. This is why the resale on Audis is terrible. As soon as the warranty is up, smart people dump them. Dumb people wait until they get hit with one huge repair bill. Really dumb people wait longer. Buying used is Russian Roulette with a six shooter when five chambers are full.
A friend of mine who owned two Audis and who is the biggest Audi fan I have ever met, recently finally gave up on his Allroad and his TT. Even he finally admitted there is some bad juju in those cars when they get past 80K miles or so.
Look up the Allroad airbag suspension issues for just one example. The Audi engineers were absolutely brain dead when they designed a suspension system designed to be used in mild offroad and bad weather situations, but the airbags are easily punctured by gravel, and the sensors and motors are susceptible to moisture! H-E-L-L-O? The resale on an Allroad is lower than a Subaru Outback of similar age and mileage even though they were twice as expensive new.

Whatever, my Audi was great. B5 A4s rock, fun to mod, absolutley wail in the snow. I traded mine in with 180K miles and it ran great. That was a good car and I still miss it a year later.

I received plenty of comments all the time about how nice the car looked, and none of them were negative.
My biggest complaint about the TT Quattro was the heavy understeer it exhibited when pushed to the limit. If the TT would have had the Torsen AWD system that the A4 had verses the Haldex system, it would have performed better. Since the Torsen system didn't fit in the small frame TT, it was given the FWD based AWD system.
As for reliability.....I didn't have any issues with either of my cars, and I put on 20k miles on each of them before selling. Maybe I got lucky, not sure.
If you were wondering...I sold my last TT convertible because I wanted a "truer" sports car. I was tired of the FWD feel of the TT (the reason I am doing research on a SRT-6 for my next vehicle).
Back to the original topic...The TTRS would probably out handle a SRT-6 on pretty much any road course, and with the TTRS having better straight-line speed as well, the TTRS would be the quicker car (if that is what you were after). Now for $60K+ there are definately better (cheaper) avenues to take. But cool car none the less.
