New Dyno Run
So, ever since I had went to the EuroCharged Dyno Tune day here in
Marietta about 11 months ago, I've been wanting to get back on the Dyno.
I was going to do that back in February, but held off as one of our fellows
here had indicated EuroCharged might have been coming back some time
soon.
Well, that didn't quite pan out, and I procrastinated through the Summer.
Today, though, I had some time and set up an appointment with DynoLabs
where we did the Eurocharged Tune day. Understand, this is the first time
I've operated the car during a dyno run. The Eurocharged handled all that
last December, so I was a little timid at times, and a little overly agressive
at others. But, I think I got to a point where we got a pretty accurate
reading.
I'm going to post up some pics, if I can figure that out, but for now, here
are the numbers
HP Torque
-------------------------------------
12-2010 331.7 330.9
Today 335.1 332.0
The curves on this run certainly look a bit better than on today's run. They
seem a bit smoother. And, though the torque number for today was a little
lower (1.1 ftlbs) it looks like the torque stays above 300 through the end
of the RPM range, where 11 months ago the graph showed it dropping below
a few hundred reves sooner.
The only item I've added since the last dyno session was the Devil Horns.
Temps today were about 30 degrees higher than 11 months ago, when
we were tuning at temps around 32 degrees.

Looks like I was able to attach the pics...

recall some talk in other threads, probably going back a few years
about needing to pull those fuses. But, no. Maybe that's why I
saw the ABS/ESP light come on, and the light in the speedo for
indicating traction control is off went out.
We just put it on the dyno. strapped it down, hooked up the
necessary leads to the dyno and ran the tests. Wondering if
it made a diff? From the graph, it looks like I was making power
right up to nearly 6,000 rpm.
Maybe I need to go back in a few days and try with those fuses
pulled.

"heart breaker" dyno. What is that? So, how's the weather down in
Puerto Rico? Been a while since I've had a chance to get down there. Miss
the Mavi and Lobster tacos.

Mustang 4WD dyno. My mods are mild too, but the most I've seen on the dyno I use is 290. But I'm not affected by the low number ...... the Porsche guys are sure I have 450! So the numbers are slow but the car is really fast. I can't get a good number at the 1/4 mile either. I spin if I plant my foot anywhere in 1rst or 2nd at the strip.
I spent the day at the track today. It only got to 90º. @#(^*$& camera didn't work for the first 2 heats so I only got the 3rd on video. I passed 2 Corvettes, 3 Suby's, 1 Porsche, various and sundry other makes and not one passed me. There was a supercharged Miata that was scary fast in the turns. I passed one of those supercharged Vettes, but he was having some kind of factory defect issue. After I passed him he went in the pits and caught on fire. Real sad, 1,000 miles on the odometer.
