Looking to purchase an SRT6
Hello all, i'm new to the forum, I currently own a 2004 Chrysler Crossfire SSB NA and I LOVE IT and was looking into maybe purchasing a 2005 SRT6, I've found one that's going for about 14k and it has about 54,000 miles on it. The owner says they've had all the recommended services and it's a clean title. I also live in California if that makes any difference on the price. What do you guys think about that deal? What are the things to look for when inspecting the SRT6? Thanks for all the comments in advance.

Mines for sale but $4k more with 44,000 less mileage with warranty. That $4k is huge if it means you couldn't own an SRT6.
A 2005 is six seasons old so there are going to be more and more high mileage SRT6s coming up for sale. As you know from your SSB, these are Mercedes SLKs underneath and are pretty darn reliable. The risk on the SRT6 is the supercharger failing or the tranny having been abused. Test drive it carefully and thoroughly. Not much you can do to protect against a s/c failure other than a aftermarket warranty, and I do no believe in them. Bottom line, 54k miles saves you about $36k in price from the original sticker.

Thanks for all the replies, I also have another question, does anyone know about when the s/c would go out on an SRT6? Also, how much and where I could get one of these replaced in California? Thanks again in advance.

If I didn't live so far away with work and everything, I definitely would like to check out that SRT6 of yours, but right now I'm a little busy, in about a month and a half or so, if you're still selling it, I might have to take a trip to see it, it looks really beautiful in the pictures of the ad.
