I thought this was pretty impressive!!!
I do alot of business with braking and never really stopped to look at how big our srt6 brake set up really is....I took this picture today as im selling alot of my remaining stock!! and looked at my c5 CORVETTE front rotor and realized it just wasnt as heavy as the SRT6 front rotor...and realized what a difference it really was...for anybody upgrading to a bigger brake set up on this car is insane!!! Cause this would be one hell of an upgrade for a Corvette!!!!

I upgraded to a Stoptech 4 pot caliper and 355 mm 2 piece rotor. After spending the $$ I realized all I really needed were better brake pads or cooling ducts. The stock brakes are plenty with the right pads. What the hay, now I can abuse them all day and drink ice tea while all the rest are bleeding their brake fluid. Incidentally, our cars weigh more or less the same as a Z06.

srt has more cooling area and the vette disks have more reusable surface. im upgrading to 360mm rotors with 6 piston fronts and 330 rotors with 4 piston rears. that will get the job done!!

I think you have that backwards...its the other way you mean right? The vette has much less reusable surface! but the vette does have more cooling!

There's no question the stock brakes are adequate, but they are absurdly heavy. The best reason to replace them is to lower unsprung weight. I dropped about 80 pounds by going to Brembo GTs all the way around.

Sorry but you need a better scale...
NO WAY YOU COULD SAVE 80 LBS.
Actually ya couldn't save 20 lbs per wheel removing the brakes altogether
WOW Im just gonna go ahead and call you a ROOKIE!!!!! 80 pounds??????????? What!!!!!! The whole rotor set weighs under that...the front rotors weigh about 23.5 pounds each in the front and about 15 in the rear.....!!
Oh typically when your upgrading your brake system your adding weight not dropping weight...unless your going with carbon ceramics!!!!!
