Painting
Hey all, I've had 4 cars in the past 3 years... i've never painted them and was wondering if anyone knew how much it cost to paint a crossfire SRT6....
and... if anyone knows roughly what it would cost to custom paint it. Instead of doing one color I wanted to do a mix of 2 colors. NOT mixed together, i mean some parts one color some parts accented with another color....

Have you considered a printed wrap instead?
The Crossies have hard Germanic paint that will last decades. Centuries, even. Makes surface prep work harder.
A printed wrap will give you the 3 to 5 years of a unique experience. Then, when you're ready to sell, you simply peel it off.
Several patterned cars in the gallery are actually wrapped.

I am painting my car when it will arrive out of customs.
Everyone is talking about the price will be lowered.. Well who is thinking about selling their car?painting the car makes it even more personal and would probably be kept. I am keeping mine. These cars don't cost that much from the start and if a paintjob would lower the resale price by 1-3 grand who would care?It might even raise the price if it looks way better then OEM. The happiness from driving around in a one of a kind will be worth that amount. just my 0.02$

The reason that it lowers the value is that short of doing a "frame off," it is impossible to do it right. To any auto professional a color change on a vehicle look like a group of meth heads were tweaking & took to with paint rollers (I actually had that happen once). No matter what you say the vehicle looks like it was in a major accident.
Really good show quality paint done "right" can cost $15k easy if you are changing colors. Big number & you can buy another car for that. Plus when you make a vehicle TOO personal - you limit the future buyers for the vehicle. Its like painting your house lime green with brown spots all over it. You might be a huge fan of frogs but who else would really want to own that.

Then I thought, do I REALLY want to pay $3K to look like a primer job?
Nah.
