Tweaked Stock Intake Manifolds from needswings
Just a quick update for historical purposes... I took the manifolds off the other day to replace the cork gaskets to see if I had a boost leak and noticed they were practically disintegrated and leaving little pieces everywhere. I did not hear any leaks but I know the seal was probably not 100 percent effective. This *may* have lead to the loss of HP and torque in my dyno results.
I'll keep posting in this thread when I have updates.
**Also, looks like Rob has an updated version of the cork gaskets on needswings for sale, probably resolved a lot of issues with the older cork gaskets I had. Just sayin'.

Please file your problems away with the stock metal gaskets with or without copper spray. I like the copper spray myself, especially if you may be removing the manifolds again in the future ..... which you won't unless you want to. Don't feel like a traitor, it's not your fault. The cork just doesn't last in this application.

Metal gaskets and copper spray.... no cork. I made this mistake a long time ago.
Since we are updating this thread, my roadster has been running 240's tweaked mains for years now, and the coupe has Rob's tweaked manis on it. Both are doing fine, but cork doesn't work with either.
