This is a update on my V8,, as most of you know i ask Rudy to do some extra's on my V8 conversion,, well we didn't know that it would take this long but i told Rudy take as long as is needed,, and then when all was working good ,i would say " Rudy can we do this " and he would say yes but,,,we have to test that to make sure it is going to perform and last. just because my car has been with Rudy for the last six months ,,is not his fault, so don't think that this conversion takes this long, only mine because i wanted to change things, brakes,wheels, tires, fuel system,water pump system, exhaust, and a lot of other things,, for the last four months he has wanted to deliver my car and then i would change things,, thanks to Rudy, Paul and of course Rob at Needswings ,, seems like every time i came up with something new Rudy would say yea ,I can do that ,,I would call Rob ,and he would say yea, i can get those parts, and they did. well now the project is done the car will be at my house today (late today) ,, now the fun starts. oh just so you know the HP is way up there. dino reading ,I really don't care much about, when we settle in at the track i will post vib's and times. i am shooting for the 10"s jim jim

 

There is no doubt that it will be worth the wait. Enjoy the new beast and get to the track soon!!

 

what do you think it will take to get the power to the ground jim, 305 wide in the back? reports im getting is its a smokefest up to 80mph!!

Congrats! Sounds like you're now in need of an AWD conversion or you can just tub the rear.

I imagine things will get scary fast if you're not careful, so be careful.

 

Jim, when you get the chance, please post up some pics of the inside and outside of the car....Especially the finished engine bay.

 

Jim.....she's a beast....I met Rudy on the way down for lunch....I'm am totally impressed with some the mods you have done.....one in particular will get done on the coupe...I will leave it at that....I may have a photo up on my thread...spotted a v-8....

 

Congrats Jim and Rudy,Paul,Rob and all the build team on the latest super car Crossfire. Can't wait to see the pic's and hear about the new mods. I am sure knowing Jim it won't be long til he takes her to the track. It would be great if all 3 super car Crossfires showed up at the fall Dragon. Stay safe in that beast Jim.

 

Lantana I was so focused on the Accellerated cars that I momentarialy forgot about the car that started it all. It would be awsome to have all 4 cars at the Dragon. Apologies

 

I will be away on work during the dragon but I might be able to talk bluecoupe into driving it down there...

He might have to increase the limit on his credit card to pay for fuel!

Honestly... I doubt anyone will ever see all 4 cars together 3 is the limit so far!

 

No Problem, When is the fall dragon. I have always missed it becuase I had to be somewhere else. I know that I am co-driving the Baja 1000 in November and have to be in Germany in late August. I would love to the V8's all in one place.

 

The fall Dragon is Sept. 30th, Oct. 1st and 2nd. Beaner is probably right about getting all 4 cars together at the same event but it would awsome to see them together. Probably be pretty special for the owners as well. Pauls car is the only one we have seen there so far. I got a chance to drive it and will never forget the experience. Hope you can make it.

And I can't think of a better place to see ALL of them together than the Dragon GTG.
Still the largest Crossfire meet to date !!

 

I am going to say yes for now ,,some of you know my mother in law 98 years old broke her hip last Nov, and lived through it she is doing ok but someone has to be with her all the time,. when my wife is at work i need to be home , wife works the school system as a speech pathologist,, i will give it my all to be there but you will only know a few days before if i camake it jim.
