I just double checked this weekend. I got 21.9 mpg on ALL highway driving. That was with moderate driving the whole way because I was afraid I wouldn't make it back without running out of fuel. I can only use my fuel card in Germany and I went to Amsterdam, for lunch

 

I was stunned.

Just filled up on the way to carlisle. After about 179 miles, on the way home refilled and clicked the nozzel TWICE. GOt in and started driving back and doing mental math I realized that the gas ticket worked out to 27++MPG. WOW.

Drove normally and even slowed to 40-50 in a big rain storm for the last 30 miles getting there. Hot damm thats great...................till

I noticed a bit later that the tank was 5/6th full, OH damm the gas pump shut off early TWICE. WOrks out that the round trip of 300 miles was closer to about 18mpg total for crusing, driving and passing things. Poop.

on HWY at 70mph I average 26. Between street/highway/a few short sprints here and there i usually average 18-19

I just hate we have small gas tanks - I would love a 18-20 gallon tank
