I have had these panels out and in several times. I found that adding Velcro around the holes when using these clips and short strips of Velcro along the edge of the hatch tightened things up for a better fit and less squeaks.

I have extra OEM clips, I think 8-10 of them. I never knew they were so hard to find. I am glad I did not throw them away! Love the velcro idea!

Looks like Denault Hardware is local to California, unless Google is lying to me again...

I'm guessing any Ace Hardware can supply the same...???

Or...

It might be a good buiness for someone on the West coast, who wants to take a 2 cent clip, mark it up handsomely, sell'em on eBay, and make a small fortune...lol...

Edit: Is Ace Hardware one and the same as True Value, or am I sending out bad info, once again...

The Mercedes Benz dealer gave me some and said they would also fit perfect but didn't at all either.... so now I had to take things in my own hands and figure out a solution!

This is a How-To Video showing you an alternative nylon clip for your interior panel trim to use as a replacement than the OEM clip that is very difficult to find the precise fitting one made for the Chrysler Crossfire. This is very inexpensive, available at most auto stores right away and is simple to do. Here, I will show you how!!

Well I tried this method with these clips and they did not work out for me...I cut off the top portion and everything but the problem is that the space between the two "heads" is not big enough, so top "head" ended up breaking on all of mine. The good news is that they worked fine for the black trim in the middle, under the trunk door latch, but did not work for the sail panels.

I have had my black pins out many times, the secret is to pull the small center pin out first and the main body just pops out undamaged.
The hidden white pins came out with a tussle but they survived with no breakage as well, was the weather cold when you did it?

Found the white clips at my local Mercedes dealer, they even had the foam surround to reduce rattles but other than that they are identical. The part number is 011-988-76-78 and they cost $2.90 a piece. If you google the part number you can find them for under a dollar.

Cheers

Where do they go?
Are you looking for the clips that hold the trunk trim in place?

I finally had to admit I was not going to find them (I have a roadster and broke several when doing my electric trunk mod) by going to MB or Chrysler. I went to Amazon and bought one of those kits - sure, 1/2 the clips I will never use, but I did get the size and color I wanted.
This was a few years ago, my Amazon history shows the purchase, but that particular kit is not available any more.

THIS ONE is similar and is less money than I paid:

This is the pin retainer that holds the wheel well carpet trim in the trunk. I measured mine so that guarantees the fit.
I purchased mine in a much higher quantity for about the same price. These look like OEM parts.
PM me your address and I will mail you a dozen no charge (not OEM), this is a reward for Oz kicking out a certain tennis player.
