Default SRT-6 Rear Spoiler... Not in Love

So has anyone removed the rear spoiler from their SRT-6? I'm not one for whale tail spoilers, and I feel that this spoiler ruins the lines of the car. Has anyone swapped out a rear deck lid from a N/A Crossfire and been able to get the automatic deployment to work? Just curious. I'm looking at a couple of cars and will likely be picking one up shortly. That rear spoiler is the only thing I don't like about the SRT-6 cars.

If you need a wing assembly, I have you covered as my tastes were exactly backwards of yours.

I added the ironing board to my Alabaster coupe, and never looked back.

I have the full motorized wing assembly (sans-motor) that I will cut you a deal on. See my classified thread for more details.

The motor is hard to find but not impossible. I had to keep mine to trick my BCM into thinking I still have the flipper back there.

If you can find a salvage yard with a wing motor, I have your wing. This will save you LOTS of $$$ on buying/shipping/painting a new hatch assembly. The swap takes roughly an hour to complete, including the brewski.

I also like the wing.
May convert my NA to a wing also.

What color are you looking at?

I like my wing. It breaks up that look of a dog taking a poop.

By adding the wing, I eliminated the stoplight challenges from Civics, Hyundai Genesis Coupes, and S200's literally overnight.

No one so much as revs their motor at me in traffic anymore. It seems the children are paying attention to the YouTube videos of SRT-6's beating Vipers, Vettes, and other spendy chariots.

When I had the flipper on, everyone tried to run be because they knew it would be a swift victory. Little do they know, they'd still be right.

Well I had a Mustang GT eat my dust the other night, even without the ironing board wing . At the next light I had a guy in a BMW give me a thumbs up. The Mustang made a turn before the next light .

BTW OSO, like you I like the dog taking a poo look of the XF...

NA's beat Gt's also!?

I FINALLY got to run one the other day (in a SRT) and spanked him 3 times before he gave up. We met at the next light and I told him that my car was only a 6 cyl. He didn't believe it!

I managed to run a GT last week. It was a '94 with a 5.4 swapped in. He couldn't get around the fact that I was stock.

Only roadsters look okay without the wing. Don't forget that you will also need the switch that goes in the dash below the radio to operate the fingernail clipping if you swap. Seems like a shame to me, almost like making an SRT look like a Special Edition or Limited then painting it white. But, to each their own.

I am also a fan of the SRT6 look and have changed the front facia on my red limited roadster to the SRT6 OEM bumper. I am now in search of a SRT-6 trunk lid, once I find one I will have it painted red to match then sell my red deck lid. Anyone one that has a nice SRT-6 trunk lid please contact me, anyone wanting my OEM moveable wing deck lid also feel free to contact me. email is billt@billt.com or call me (315) 723-8243. Thank you.

Maybe you should have bought a Limited

Wow, another insult to my ironing board....but they like flip up skate boards....go figure.... Let's see how he does at 160....smooth as silk... Does the N/A handle that well at the upper speeds? Not that I really care....lol...

Doc, the Crossfire product manager that spoke to us at Woodward stated that there was no additional handling benefit with the SRT spoiler. It was just put on to make it look different than the Limited.

Maybe he should trade it in for the "Black Max" edition. That way we wouldn't have it come back to haunt us every couple of months. Two birds... One stone.

And it's pretty obvious which one functions best; pushing rubber to road. Another vote for the ironing board here!

I'll simply say this: I had both on my Limited Coupe, and the SRT wing made the car feel much more stable north of 120. Wind noise was higher, but so was grip.

No Chrysler engineer will ever comment on those speeds, where aero truly plays a role. The lawyer-ese won't allow him to

So, at 70mph, I'm sure there is no difference and it's aesthetics only.
