Talking Re: Installed a 2nd heat exchanger today.

THe stock HE is terribly restrictive to flow, get it out of there unless you plumb it in parallel. I designed the super cooler to give more delay for the water to allow deeper cooling.

Please remember that 12 heat exchangers can only do so much. The innercooler is the limiting factor as it is so much smaller !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been yelling at the wind but one more time, here goes.

Your HE is maxed out, the pump should be a good capacity one.

The intercooler is holding up your improvement.

SO THERE IS NOTHING ELSE TO DO?????????

THe water is the key. change the antifreeze mixture. I did a posting and study and deteremined that the water antifreeze mixture should be about 30 - 40 %. DO NOT USE 50% or more as antifreeze REDUCES THE SPECIFIC HEAT content of the mixture. Water is 1.0 or 100%, antifreeze mixture depending on the concentration may be as low as 50% or 0.5 meaning it will hold less heat before its temp rises by a factor of TWICE!!!!!!!!

This is huge and affects the the heat removed from the IC and the heat rejected by the HE.

This is for split or separated IC _ HE systems, not for factory setups.

Please read the posting above and see if you wanna change the % of the water, it makes a difference, and dont measure the outlet themps unless you compare them across the cores, in to out. The IC is fixed and you can only PICK UP SO MUCH HEAT, so use better water and you damn well better be using distilled water for filling. Woody Keep me informed.

I don't believe the second H/E wasn't the problem, I think my pump is going out.
