Default Dyno Results

I finally got the car on the dyno today and I'm happy with the results so far. 348HP and 352 ft-lbs at the wheel. I cannot wait to take the car to the low lands to see how it runs.

Can someone explain if that spike is normal and why that occurs? It seems to spike 7-10hp really quick.

That amount of power and you have just the CAI, Pulley and tune correct? was it a dyno tune or the mail in tune?

Correct on the mods. The tune was done remotely by Eurocharged.

I rented dyno time and Eurocharged remotely tuned my car real time on it. Sadly, I'm nowhere near your numbers. I'd be curious to see your 1/4 mile times one of these days.

I am hoping to do that this spring/summer when Bandimere is open again in Denver. Keep in mind that the dragstrip is at 5800' which will obviously affect speeds. Also note that the HP rating are corrected SAE. The place where I had the dyno is at 5900' and the uncorrected HP ratings were at 290.

must be the atitude because you left a bunch of torque on the table. your mods and mine arent that different and i got 372 ft lbs torque with 359 rwhp. keep up the good work! you are datalogging right? gotta know what the engine is doing!

Nice, especially at that elevation. Was that a 3rd or 4th gear pull? It's nice to see the HP and TQ so close to each other. My HP is much greater than my tq which is probably because of the exhaust mods.

My maximum horsepower is more than my torque too. And by a good margin. A sea level thing?

Nice numbers where did you get the dyno done ? I would hope to be close to your hp as we have the same mods. Bandimere opens in April by the way.

Sounds awesome Evan! I keep going back and forth about whether or not to do the CAI. Are there any complications with passing emissions here is Colorado with your mods?

I got the dyno done at MAC Autosports in Parker. $75 for three runs.

I had the emissions test done after the CAI install and it passed with flying colors. As the emission test should not kick on the supercharger, it don't think the pulley swap would change anything. I'm not sure about the tune as I had that done after the test.

Evan you say the S/C would not be on during a emission test but they push the car past 1300rpm so that would engage the S/C during the testing wouldn't it?

I guess it would depend on how hard they hit the gas. I can limit the throttle enough during normal driving where the SC won't kick in even above 1300 RPM. I think once they get to a steady state for the RPM, the SC should not be engaged either as they won't be flooring it.

I've been told the clutch on the super charger will never engage unless the transmission is in drive.. Squirrel Crusher

You are very correct and if I recall, they don't put in it in Drive when doing the test.

Hmmmm where do you getyour emissions testing done???? They always setup the car on the rollers and it has to be in drive as the test is run because I've watched and the rear wheels spin accordingly. I see the display for the vehicle from the waiting room and the rpms as the test is administered and it goes through idle to 3600rpm several times unless you fast pass and even then it goes through the cycle at least once.
