In my experience, it is far better to offer our very few and proven upstanding aftermarket parts supplies the benefit of doubt rather then alienate them with questionable and broad possibility comments.

This problems has been mentioned on other forums so you are not alone. I am merely offering an opinion on what I see here, take it or leave it. Some people here are too touchy and probably do not comprehend what I am saying anyway.

You have returned your pulley and seemingly not been able to determine what is wrong with it even though you had it in your hand. This should have been quite obvious I would have thought, I know it would have been to me, but that is what I know how to do but not you I guess.

So what your telling me is if you spent $500 on any sort of product, pulley, television whatever it may be and somthing went wrong you would fix it yourself, probably voiding any warrenty offerd or any sort of return offerd by the selling company? Even if I did find what the problem was why take my time to fix somthing that shouldnt of been faulty, expecially this soon, ill let the pros deal with the problem.

Your opinions are vast and elaborate for a part that you admittedly have never “held in your hand”.
Regardless of the fact that you consistently post comments with the clear intent to insult and invoke a negative response; your post do provide an arrogant know-it-all style of comic value. Thank you for your sustained and substantial forum use.

You held one in your hand and failed to see what was wrong with it, others could have.
You are hopefully an expert in your job, others have different skills. No need to get upset about it.

Come on now, let's put the energy in getting an answer from the manufacturers.
I have written them an email to sales and jerry. Anyone who can call them? They did a test period on their prototype pulley, did this sound not occur on their prototype? There are approx 30 EC sc pulleys sold I would have guessed, how many got issues of this sound? Is it due the alignment, gap is uneven and not 100% straight?

180, u got connections at EC?

I recommend that you bring it with you. Eurocharged has CJ's pulley in hand and my cell number, I am certain that Jerry will call when he has an answer.

Will do. I'll try with another shim first. If not ok I will bring it with me. The price on c3 pulleys just went through the roof

Code 3 is gone. Eurocharged is the only company that currently manufactures a reduced diameter supercharger pulley. If your interested in a larger diameter crank pulley, you have Needswings and Eurocharged to chose from. Renntech also produced a larger crank pulley, but I do not see it listed on their site any longer and it was very expensive.

Thanks for info. I knew all that as I researched it all before purchasing the EC sc pulley. Hence not being made any longer the price of the c3 is sky rocketing
Anyways, additional shim is coming on this saturday. Any hints on the number of shims needed? At the moment it is only the stock shim. Now the pulley is prob too close and grinding the magnetic plate. As the pulley is somewhat in-even, I have go try using a shim that makes the gap to be 0.2-.,3 all over. Any progress on communication from EC? No replies on my email. Holiday in US?
Have a nice day

Hi again,

Just got an email from J at EC giving me the advise to try with an additional shim. If it did not cure the noise he wanted me to bring it over for test install on his car.

Will let you know tomorrow about my progress.

I had the issue with the S/C pulley when first installed and added the additional shim to bring it to the corrected gap. I have had no other issues after adding the shim. I can't say what might be wrong with any one else's pulley but the install is very straight forward so I can;t imagine it is a problem with the basic install.
The shim I used was the largest added to the 1 that was already on the S/C when removed so the gap is with in tolerances at this time and working as designed.

If you understood that from what I wrote then your comprehension of the language leaves something to be desired or you misread it.

In my first post I said that some people should read no farther than the first sentence. You may have been better to quit before you got confused.

Ok. I will do this tomorrow. Add another shim. Hope it settles everything performance is amazing.

Wow, so I ask a simple question which made sense about a brand new product and you attack me like you own this forum? You my friend are one bad@$$, im shipping any faulty parts to you from now on and letting you fix them, who needs EC anyway. Thanks for all your support on the forums I dont know where we would be without your comments.
And to answer you, No I didnt read your first post, honestly I dont care.

Fubu- sorry your thread got jacked by an argument.
I tried adding in shims, had the 2 stock shims and added 3 more to see if it would help the problem and no luck thats when I emailed Jerry and he said to just mail it back. It should be arriving there today or tomorrow and once I get some info back ill relay it to you guys, hopefully I can get my pulley and TCU tune fixed by next race day

Good luck with your problem, it's not my problem and not likely to be.

No worries. I have had my issues with 180 before. He hated me before but now he likes me. So I think we should put down the battle axes and just put the energy down to solve the problem.

Okay, I got the instructions to use more shims. And probably try to bend it a bit so it will become more even all around. Trying this tomorrow.

Treat other members how you would like them to treat you easy. Always try to stay on a good note. Even if some uses a more negative tone

Regards mother Theresa
