Man, I think your going to need water/meth for cooling. I switched from a Code3 to a 178 with a belt wrap kit and the power increase is impressive but so is the heat. (IAT's) And I'm running a supercooler sized H/E and stock H/E in line. But WTF.... GO GO GO GO!!!

IC wrap, thermal coating? I can't remember what you have already done.
Can't wait to see what you come up with.

theres some new players in town!! (not really new but new to the v6 platform. they already have some of the fastest v8 m/b on the track!)
hmmm?
"The KLEEMANN Kompressor System is an Eaton type supercharger with an integrated air-to-water intercooler and is the only known system to combine the intake manifold, kompressor and intercooler into one integral unit. The intercooler is such a superior design that it holds its own patent."
Kleemann M113 SuperCharger System Mercedes CL500 & CL55 V8 5spd W215 99-06

variable belt driven cooling! Now that would be sick

Looking good Steve! Can't wait to see your results. I never worry much about the iat's because I let the car cool down in between passes when I race for 11 seconds.

I was excited when we chatted about this the other day. I am equally excited now. Looking forward to all the goodies going on the cars in the near future.
Should be a hoot, Steve. I have no doubts that your car will be at/near 400 RWHP...
I will go ahead and concede victory to you as the fastest member in the 'Boro... Now, you may have to wrestle that crown from Anthony a bit harder. Sources say he has the same/similar mods? I know he has lighter wheels

On my 1/2 mile runs my IAT's hit 150º at around 110 mph and by 140 mph they were at 165º. The ECT's reached 204.8º. I'm convinced that water/meth injection is the easiest and most effective solution for me. (and 32) It's just a question of which system. Trunk mount meth kit or trunk battery relocation kit and front meth kit. As a side note, my AFR's were 13 until the IAT's got to 150º and then they started falling. I'm lucky nothing went boom! Now I'm told the 104 leans out the AFR's but probably saved me at the same time.

You don't have to drive your AMG tomorrow, so you might as well get to work on the parts. Also, you're going to want to datalog tonight after the call comes, not wrench. I guess you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't. Flip a coin on it.
