Hello everyone, new member here. I joined the forum because I'm considering purchasing an SRT-6 roadster.

Would anyone have a list of known trouble points for this model that should be inspected/verified prior to purchase?

I've searched and found the excellent thread of fixes to known problems, but am curious to know if there's a compiled list of what to look for before buying.

Thanks everyone. So besides the usual mechanical checks and inspections, it looks like the following items are to be expected with the SRT?:

Door pulls with sharp edges
Oil leaking from intake manifolds
Valve cover oil leaks
Seat warmers don’t work
Rust/Corrosion underside of doors behind gaskets
Radiator TSB?
Sticking ignition
IC pump not working

It really seems to be a fairly trouble free car.

My preference would be for an SRT roadster in lieu of the coupe - anything special to look out for on these models?

 

Want a low mileage (7800) SSB roadster, check out the cars for sale section......... :O)

 

Transmission leak at the fill tube gasket seems pretty common as well.

 

where is the fill tube located? need to add fluid
